I don't smoke nicotine products but I can tell you I've talked to a fair share of people over the years, some who have quit successfully, and some who can't seem to shake it. I've come to my own conclusion that if you WANT to stop it you will, and if you don't really WANT to stop it you won't.

Dipped from 17 to about 35. Quit cold turkey, now 38. Have had a few since then but none in over a year.

Smoked about a pack a day for a few years, cut back to only smoking when I drank for maybe a year, then cut them out for good. That was probably about for years ago, and cigarettes disgust me now.

Proud non-smoker since the day I was born.

My parents used to smoke and it used to make me sick. Smoking ultimately killed my dad when I was 17. Never had the desire to pick up the nasty habit.

My business partner vapes. I make fun of him because he wasn't a smoker before. I have to admit it smells kinda good but there is no way is that second hand smoke safe.

Kicked a 20+yr dip habit on 3/12. Had a scare when I glanced down my throat that evening and haven't been tempted since. I do use the herbal stuff occasionally but my tobacco use is over. There is no need to put that kind of crap into my body and risk the future with my wife and sons

As for the scare, turns out it was just tonsil stones but that might have been the longest weekend of my life waiting to see the ENT on Monday. I didn't sleep but a couple of hours and my blood pressure was thru the roof

Watched my grandmother die from lung cancer due to smoking from the time she was 16 until about six months before her death. I can't stand smoking and how it smells. Now I'm not going to say that I have never tried any of it but it is nothing I do on a regular basis at all. I haven't smoked a cig since I was 15 or 16 and have no plans to do so again.

I smoke, but I have no idea how people do a pack+ a day. It's disgusting and stupid, period, but I just feel disgusting/stupid after a half a pack a day.

I'd like to quit so badly, but it's honestly hard. I don't which parts harder; the physical or mental withdrawals.

You gotta stop hanging around Cory and Trevor.

Raw Papers.
White Owls.
ZigZag's.
Swisher Sweets.
And an occasional Backwood.

All of which are generously stuffed...

No cigarettes, no black & milds. No anything else.

Smoked from 17 to 29. Quit cold turk. I can honestly say it gross me out now. I never thoughtid be one of those non smoking pricks, but I am very judgy when I see other people smoking. Advice to people wanting to quit: change your life, stop hanging out with people who smoke and stop drinking, it's hard but you'll be so thankful when those damn commercials come on TV.

Best thing I ever did was stop dipping. One of the dumbest was starting. So much money wasted, impacts to health etc. It is also nice to never clean up after a damn nasty spit cup spill again.

I smoked cigarettes for over 30 years, been quit for 10 years. Tobacco use in any form is a nasty habit, one that is difficult to break. Looking back I wonder why I ever used tobaco.

I quit smoking a year and half ago, after being a smoker for 8 years. I went to those mini lozenges you get at walmart. They taste like small breath mints and deliver alittle nicotine to your system. I know I should've stopped taking them long ago but I figure as long as I'm not putting smoke and the other bad carcinogens in my body and just keep the nicotine....it's worked for me. Haven't had a single puff since December 2013
