I don't like frogs at all. When they get in the pool at night and start swimming across And the shadow on the bottom of the pool makes them look as big as a salad plate. Ugh.

We took the kids tonight and shot them, they loved it. Plus, I got to kill a cottonmouth!

So I have a salty hater at work now, I’ve moved up quicker than he did working in the same department, he keeps getting moved around because they can’t seem to find a good fit for him.

My big boss asked me if I could re-train him to run the machines like I do(which I don’t have spindle crashes or much of a scrap rate, at all, not bragging I’m just good at what I do) I respectfully declined and brought it to his attention that we butt heads often and this guy just doesn’t seem to get the process.

Upon this salty dog finding out I declined to re-train him the mgrs put him on days and in a different department that doesn’t require as much detail and is obviously an easier job. He’s training temporarily on days until he gets signed off in that particular cell. (Cell: a department of the machining process)

He approached me the other morning as I was leaving work bragging to me about him going to days, he didn’t know it was temporary and would soon be moved back to nights. He told me that I should try and go to days (which I would absolutely love to so it would be easier on my family) and that “the Big boys run on days”

It just chaps my tail listening to this dude run his mouth.
I know it shouldn’t bother me but I responded “I guess I’m on night shift because I don’t require a babysitter”

Ever dealt with one these at work?
Rant over.

Just let it ride. You know the truth. Your higher ups know the truth.

I know and I will do as you said. Just makes me a lil mad. The concentration it requires to do my job well never stops. Then I see this dude trying to skate by and knowing they won’t fire him continues to abuse their system of working with people to put them in the right situation to be successful, economics also plays a factor that I don’t exactly understand on their part.

If someone isn’t working out and you have to focus more energy to please them why not let them go? He has no kids, and has job hopped quite a bit from what I understand to different machine shops. More of a liability if you ask me.

Not to mention the team environment we work with requires team players or else positions from managers to engineers just aren’t on the same page, having fluidity in the process to get quality product shipped doesn’t have much room for error.
