It amazes me how many people are pro-capitialism/free market.....until it comes to this and then they want it to be the same archaic model from 70 years ago.

There’s a certain 5-star OL asking for NFL 1st round Quarterback type money.

This is not good and not sustainable.

Or on of our OL members from last year "fishing" for an NIL deal by saying if he got one then he would stay for this season.

I agree, the whole thing is just a mess. 60 year old men get butthurt in the workplace because somebody makes a nickel more than them and playing one potential employer vs another. I'm not so sure we can expect better behavior out of 20 year old kids.

But you can't win without the "unmarketable" ones. A reasonable compromise would to let all NIL deals be team deals split equally amoung the team. When you get a team full of "in it for the NIL only" players I really can't see that working out well.

Have a deal for all the players. This is already happening some places.

Exactly. I knew this in-team jealousy was going to be a problem as soon as they started this NIL garbage.
It is just one of several problems this policy will create.

It will ruin what is left of college athletics and it is all about greed. $$$$$
