'19 NJ ILB Juwan Mitchell (Texas Transfer) [Tennessee commit]

you have to think others saw that Crouch was neither a RB or a LB .. man without a position ... Michigan St ..really ??? with all the southern schools SEC and ACC and he goes to probably the 5th or 6th best team in Big 10 .. I dont think he had alot of takers !!!!

Maybe. I think Pruitt helped him, then hurt him. He showed good ability as a freshman as OLB. Moving him fulltime to ILB, just didn't fit him.

I think he'll do well at Michigan State. We got a better player in Mitchell now.
and Banks was just as good if not better than Crouch sometimes.

Still I appreciate he didn't go play RB for UGA or OLB for Kentucky.

Crouch was really coming along well late in the season against the run, but was still a big liability in coverage. Banks was better in coverage, although he still had mental lapses that hurt the defense. I agree with the previous poster that he was better suited for OLB. I think he's got the potential to be really good there. Moving to MLB and being coached by Niedermeyer hurt his development.

Hubbs said in the chat that the staff wasn’t willing to use a scholarship.

He has 15 career tackles and sat out all of last year after entering the transfer portal in August. He may be able to contribute some, but I think massive is an overstatement.
Any warm body via passing a “fog the mirror” test is massive for us right now.

Eh, we need more than warm bodies right now. We have talent back there, just not a lot. If Anthony didn’t play well at UM because of coaching, and could thrive here, that’s another thing.

Looks like he gained a lot of weight too (6’0 245). I’m on board the Kennesaw State LB train if we’re looking for another LB type. Would be nice to have two guys that are a LB/DB hybrid in Armstrong and Marley
Does Marley project as a LB or DB or is he a hybrid? Just wondering where the board sees him fitting in. And also what about Trinity Bell, DL, OL, TE?

I want the Kennesaw State guy, plays tough.

Didn't he enter the portal last year and fail to find a taker? There may be more to the story with him.

AP said Crouch’s uncle (I think) played there, so there are ties for him to Mich State, and that it wasn’t as out of the blue as you think.
