No breaks at all against Bama

What about the hit on Hefney trying to catch a punt? He's lucky he didnt get knocked out of the game. At a minimum there should have been an additional personal foul called. That was ridiculous.

That was quite a hit. Don't know that they would ever tack on another penalty since it was already a 15 yard penalty.

That's what was so frustrating about this game. We couldn't catch any of the breaks that were handed out by the refs. I'm pretty sure I almost had a heart attack more than once during this game.

Yeah, I know what you mean. For a while I felt like it was the late '80's - early '90's.

Well hell a W is a W in my book. look we gave Bamma 10 of there 13 missed many play's went for 6's when should of just kicked 3's that were there. Ainge looked rusty in the 1st half but ended up with 301yrds and drove us down with under 5min to go in game. He is 1,000,000 times better than last yr. Last yr we would of lost this game.

Whoever said UT's offense played poorly is wrong is off somewhat. They made some critical mistakes and the 3 INT's would have beaten any other team in the SEC against Bama considering Bama didn't turn it over at all.

However, UT had well over 300 yards of offense. Bama didn't really stop them all day... they stopped themselves so you can't say it was by any stretch UT's A game.... but still they were that much better than the Tide. They didn't need their A game to win.

I hope UT doesn't play like that... However, this game definitely proved that UT can beat all of those teams except for LSU without playing their A game on offense.

Looking at the stats, the score should have been much worse. The INT's and a few dropped balls caused the Vols to stop themselves. Bama didn't really stop UT but 2 or 3 drives all day. The Vols just kept shooting themselves in the foot.

The Vol defense absolutely dominated Alabama... No one including UF had held Bama to under 300 yards of total offense. They had 211 today and wouldn't have had 200 without the eyes closed Hail Mary that JPW threw up.

Think about that play... their best play. The ball couldn't have been put anywhere else and been caught by Hall... and there is no way JPW could even see where he was throwing it.

I don't believe in luck so I guess I'd just have to say that Providence smiled on that play.

UT's defense has greatly improved and in spite of a rough start today the offense isn't being stopped by anyone other than themselves... I just hope that's out of their system.

That was a crazy play. I can't believe that not 1 of our 3 guys didn't come down with that ball and I'm even more amazed it was a completion.

Yeah. It was a great catch... the throw was blind so all you can give Wilson credit for is having a strong enough arm to get it out there.

BTW, the interference call on that play was downright ridiculous... especially in light of that first half wave off. When a guy hangs one up for grabs and everyone is going for the ball... there's no way the official should throw a flag.
