You're right, somebody needs to step up and make a play for us. Are we an immature team with tons of issues? Yes. But other than the top 4 or 5 teams in the country, who isn't?

This team is very capable of putting it all together, we've all seen it. We are also very capable of losing our cool at the end of games. But to say that these guys have "no heart" or "don't want it" or whatever other vague cliche that people say after a loss is just absurd. The season isn't over. Chill out and enjoy the tournament.

The ball didn't "bounce their way"; they went and got it. How many games in a row do the Vols have to suck at getting 50/50 balls before people figure out that it isn't just bad luck?

Pearl may not be a great player, but look at how much better he has gotten over the few years he's been here. He sucked, now he is actually somewhat of a basketball player. Has the heart.
Hopson and Harris will be crazy to leave no matter what happens. Harris needs some more development before going pro and hopson wont make it in the NBA imo. needs to step up and be a leader of this team. hope they both stay. Cause we need em.

Am I the only one who saw Scotty Hopson get beat down by the Kentucky player at the free throw line! Heart is great, hustle is necessary, but if you don't have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to someone like Scotty didn't, you can't win and you are pretty much marked as easy!

I agree this heart angle is over played but if Williams can't play his last game against UK then it may have some merit.

you don't know what your talking about. his shot rarely gets blocked. if anything he gets fouled. your statement is not accurate.

And if see Steven Pearl get the ball take two steps and just launch the ball towards the general direction of the goal, I'm going to lose my mind. We have SERIOUS offense problems and Pearl only makes them worse. It's like playing 4 v 5 when he's in the game offensively.

Good luck Vols because unless some major character flaws and scheme problems are addressed in the SEC tourney, we will have zero chance of making a run in the NCAA tourney.

Last yr when he was getting fired maybe...the few yrs before that I was celebrating sweet sixteens and an elite eight that was two points from a final four.

You do realize he would have had Chris Jones that dost qualify and Kevin Ware that is averaging 4 ppg in his next class, which would have only been worse than the year before. Pearl was declining I hate to break that to you.

You don't have any clue what his final class would have looked liked.....in case you hadn't noticed signing day hadnt happened yet? The season before he brought in Tobias Harris.

I have no idea and u don't either...he could have added anyone in the fall or the spring.....of course I don't think u have to talk to a high school kid for five or six yrs to get him to go to your school.
