No News on Gruden either saves us or destroys us

I think we are definitely setting ourselves up, but at the same time, if it actually happens, then we'll all be so happy we won't care.

On the flip side, if we did put all our eggs in the Gruden basket and we come up empty and we went up with another Derek Dooley.....heaven help us.

Absolutely. When Grubage ISN'T hired, and another coach is, the majority of people in here are absolutely going to hate the hire because "it's not Jon Gruden". Y'all may disagree, but that's the way it is. Get so hyped up about something, and then when it doesn't happen.....the alternative is hated and despised.

Think about it this way: You're a kid. All you've talked about all year is getting a new mountain bike. You simply can't think about anything else other than that mountain bike. When you parents tell you "you might not get a mountain bike", you argue with them constantly, because you're convinced if you want it bad enough, it'll happen. You wake up Christmas morning......to a year old ten-speed. That's exactly what this whole Gruden thing is like.........a bunch of kids wishing for that bright, shiny mountain bike; and probably getting a really good year old ten-speed out of the deal.

So does that make Dooley a unicycle?

If it's true that the Boosters tested the waters for Gruden and that Hart is indeed meeting him...then we have a better chance than I thought. I still don't think it will happen but we'll see

We could promote CUT to OC from Duke and bring back the Chavis-Fulmer duo ... Creating the Trio that always won, but no , everybody's gotta have their change .

You know, if we miss out on Gruden, I think rehiring Fulmer is the only hire I would at least feel good about. I doubt we get Chavis or Cut back though.

I just wanted Dooley gone. Hart could hire Gruden, Patterson, Golden, Smart, Pelini, Fedora, I really do not care. Any one of them makes this team better day 1. 2013 will be exciting to me because we are back to having a chance to win. I will rate Hart's hire next year.

Call me crazy but I think the AD not telling the fans anything is professional.

FYP, at least what of it was fixable.

We're not entitled to anything. Just because you want to know badly enough doesn't mean it's anyone's job at the AD to tell us. Loose lips sink ships.
