You can laugh at something without caring about it. Vandy's inferiority complex deserves an amount of ridicule. They have so few fans that their coach thinks that any football fan in Nashville that wants to watch a football practice must REALLY be a fan of Tennessee.

In at least one post on ANY thread related to Vandy there will be someone that asks - why we care? We don't. It's just funny. Relax.

So wait, coach Mason wants to keep things a secret eventhough there will be 9 or 10 games on film for our coaches to see? Is he stupid? The secret will be known by then.

You do care, otherwise you wouldn't try to promote their "irrelevance."

Unfortunately, the fact that UT gives 2 rips about Vandy shows more about who has the inferiority complex. Most Top 10 all-time programs don't worry about the Vandy's of the world. It's the equivalent of Michigan and Ohio State obsessing over Northwestern....I promise, they don't.

I really don't understand your butthurtness over UT fans discussing Vandy. You're right, Michigan/ Ohio State don't discuss Northwestern, probably because from what I've seen Northwestern isn't going around beating their chest about what little bit of success they've had.

Vandy has had 2 decent seasons, they now believe themselves to be the all-time dominant program in Tennessee, one of the giants of the SEC, and a very strong contender to win the East in 2015. They don't know they're a joke. Their constant jawing is what makes it fun to point out how pathetic they are. They aren't a bully that you need to ignore and not acknowledge until they go away, they are a little sibling whose attitude is getting out of check and needs a good smacking to put him back in his place.

They're only a nuisance if you allow them to be. By allowing them to get under your skin you give them credibility. Just ignore them. Promise me when UT beats them this year you won't rush the field and tear down Vandy's goalposts!

UT will hammer Vandy this year. Vol fans got their panties in a bunch around here while Franklin was there. Under Mason, they may field a good D, their team will suck.

Vanderbilt will have a really solid defense and a terrible offense for about 3 years and Mason will split back to the league to become an NFL DC. Call it right now. They are and will always be a stepping stone.

Maybe they should have a "closed game" when they play Tennessee in Nashville. Well, I guess you could just explain that they are ALL Tennessee fans to avoid any confusion

Oh well, I think there is probably another motive for doing this. I'm assuming it has something to do with his head coaching experience.
