No OU/TX in SEC until 2025

Barnes and Heupel will both have the chance to beat the university where they once coached or played at on a regular basis.

Then why was the UT-OU games cancelled? The SEC needs to reinstate those games immediately.

It is still unclear how OU and Tennessee will play each other once OU joins. Might not fit into whatever pod or division structure they come up with.

I thought the games were scheduled to be played before the okies join the BMF conference in the universe?

It was supposed to be a home-and-home, the first half of which got cancelled due to COVID. They didn't want to have just a one-game series.

I wish their entrances into the SEC could be delayed until 2028 so we don't see Arch Manning
I just have this weird feeling that Ol' Arch is going to be a flop. Bloodline watered down in that extra generation, and his bloodline is much of his pull. I don't mind playing against him.

The hype and expectations are crushing. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he flames out.

So they're invincible and untouchable?

You're dumb af
So one is good therefore they all must be
It's the safest last name bet you will find in football. If he was ours people would be gushing over him with the exact same stats.

Look at the track record of that family oh genius one full of worms….play the odds , he won’t suck…
He won’t suck, but that style of football doesn’t work in the SEC anymore unless you have an unbelievable offensive line. Even Saban and Kirby realized this and adjusted. Why the hell else would they let JT Daniels walk for a guy like Stetson who was a walk on? With Bennett, it was about respecting his ability to pick up positive yards with his legs. Daniels couldn’t stay healthy because he was a statue in the pocket.

Arch will be successful, but our defensive front would feast on him. Think about how badly we would’ve beaten Bama if Bryce Young wasn’t as athletic as he is. They were able to keep within a manageable distance because and catch up solely because Bryce extended play after play until his WRs were able to find a seam.

Who is saying Arch is unathletic? Doesn't he run around quite a bit at Newman?

If anything, it is actually interesting that Eli and Peyton aren't more athletic than they are, given how Archie played the position and how athletic Cooper was.

Actually from rumors, it isn't even the Big12 holding it up, it is Fox.

Fox is whining about losing prime time Big12 games so it is holding ESPN, OU, Texas, and everyone's feet to the fire. The Big12 had a game plan without OU and Texas (that would still have required a sizable buy-out).

Looking forward to the day when Texas and Oklahoma are in the SEC. Don't care what the B10 does, I hope the SEC stays put with just adding the two previously mentioned. No other 2 teams out there excite me or makes the SEC any better.

I reside in Virginia and would love to have Va Tech or UVA in the SEC. Half of the Tech people are begging to get in the SEC while the other half say if the ACC folds, they are happy going down a level. As a matter of fact, one Tech fan stated that they went to the TN vs Bama game (wife's family are TN fans) and the biggest thing he observed was just how much bigger and faster SEC players are vs the ACC.

I would rather continue to be the best over just getting bigger!

Why don’t you want to see Arch?
Good question. He plays the equivalent of a Texas Class 3A Division schedule and hasn't won a championship yet. Maybe the talent on his team isn't up to par or something (I honestly don't know for sure) but the teams he plays against aren't that good either. 🤔
