No Street Party planned, just spoke with someone at UT (not happy)

Better said - call the Athletic Department and respectfully request they host a street “celebration” or what ever soft language makes people bend to your will.

I wonder if they're concerned from a liability standpoint? The Super Regional street party last year was amazing, but perhaps they're anticipating too many people showing up this year given the obvious scarcity of even Regional tickets. Vol Baseball is immeasurably more popular now than it was twelve months ago, so increased block party interest is a given.

If that's the case, it's a real shame that there isn't a giant indoor facility (with no prior commitments!) a mere six-minute walk from LNS that could accommodate a ton of fans in a climate-controlled environment that boasts a fairly large jumbotron.

If only...

I bet Market Square downtown would love to step in to the gap.

More and cheaper alcohol in a larger space

A huge problem last year was nearby parking being saved for ticket holders.

A everyone-come patty now would be 50,000 people work all the excitement

Market Square
Worlds Fair Concert Lawn
Soccer stadium
Thompson Boling Arena

i think we need to put the pressure on them to do something for the fans. They did it last season. And i would imagine there will be 10,000 fans or more show up this weekend for a stadium that seats only 5,000. Not very happy with UT right now as i planned a tailgate for Saturday on the expectations there would be an option available for us fans who cant get into the game. How can we make our voices heard here?
It’s Alabama State!!! They did the street party for the Supers against LSU. Yes there would be fans turn out for it, but it wouldn’t be on the level of what we seen last year with LSU. Now if Notre Damn wins and comes to Knoxville for the Supers, then I would expect something big from the school.

They spoke 9-10 win season out loud. 247 national correspondent?

It's also Saturday and Sunday. There will easily be 10,000 fans around or near campus in an event that only holds 5000. They dropped the ball, big time.

I'm pretty confident there will be a block party for the Super Regional if we get there, the schedule is set with times. As it is now, we may play Saturday at noon or at 6:00. Same goes for Sunday.
