Sounds like Miami has now taken the mantle for dysfunction away from the Vols.

Why would anybody want to keep Manny Diaz? Dude has accomplished exactly nothing. What has he been there now? 3 or 4 years? Each year worse than the one before.

I would suspect that those on the board who are pro-Diaz are that way because they can control him.

Cristobal-and any coach worth a crap is going to want to call their own shots.

If you know anything about UM the institution, this isn't all that surprising. They are the epitome of a house divided.

There is a faction of people there who want UM football to be a national power again, and a faction of people where who want intramurals. That's how far apart they are ideologically.

I saw a tweet earlier that said Miami has a total of 63 regents. It's not uncommon for private universities to have large boards. Donate $10mm-$20mm to the school...poof, you're a regent. Last time I checked Baylor had 36 regents.

Edit: Found the tweet. It's actually 68 regents.
