Absolutely. I remember going to one of my wife's company Christmas parties that was on the night of a UConn - Tennessee game. Half of the people at the party left the ballroom and went the bar to watch the game on the big screen.Like alot of great historical duos, they needed each other. They were the perfect foils to ignite the growth in popularity of the game. And boy, were those games fun at their peak.

Beat UConn and lost to Wright State and some people argue that there is not parity in the WCCB.
About the same parity as the men's game Stephen Austin lost in overtime and several games yet to come. BYU 11 seed also won over a higher seed. There are seven or eight teams that could win the National title that hasn't been true many years before this one. That example does not constitute parity. Parity implies things are equal. There is nothing equal about the state of the sport, such as it is. And sure, Arkansas beat UConn -one of the 20 losses they've endured in the past decade. TWENTY. They've also won 356 games. That's 95%. That's not parity. There are not enough top tier recruits for there to be parity. More parity than in the past? Maybe. Maybe not. Would need to research that. I think an comparison of the men's and women's chalk would be a good start. But I'm already pretty sure it'll demonstrate the same thing - there's no such thing as parity in this sport. Not today anyway.
