Too bad Hawaii couldn’t stick around for the 2nd half and made a game of it.

Was at the Syracuse/Yale game today. Cuse was ice cold in Q1 — maybe they thought they were playing a different navy and white CT team? — but then decided to show up. Still not a complete team. They are going to linger in the bottom half of the ACC unless they get it together quickly.

Watching SJU vs PSU. Dwyer is all over the court. I remember she was looking at Tennessee as a transfer. She would have been perfect in our system.

She'll be special when she can put up numbers like that on a consistent basis without forcing 3 times the shots of her teammates against teams that are 0-9 on the season. Watkins must have read the ESPN article describing how underwhelming she has been up to this point and has shown little to no improvement. Higaldo and Miles made her look average when Notre Dame played USC, especially Higaldo.

Still underwhelmed. Dropping 40 on cal Baptist is actually embarrassing. Let your teammates get a few against an 0-9 team. The stat padding is real with that one.

I don’t care what ESPN or any other media outlets says, they pick and choose who they want to praise, her game speaks for itself. For the player they praise, I didn’t see them being critical of them at 19 or ever at all. But like I said last year, once Reese graduates, they will start putting juju down and it’s happening already.

Look up her games last season against good teams, she dropped 51 in Stanford, 42 against Colorado, 32 against Ohio State, she’s proven it already in her young career.

Funny how a game between two unranked teams sure seems a lot more interesting to a lot of folks who haven't thought they deserved respect. I'm not talking about you.

I think it's natural that folks are curious about the new LVs. This is the first real test they've had. The attention is a step toward deserved respect. Actually I'm a little disappointed in Fla St, I thought they'd be a top 15ish type team, a little better test of how we'll do in the top ranks of the SEC.

I'm just thankful there's finally some good games, and wouldn't you know, many on at the same time.

At least we’ve been granted the SECN for the evening. That in and of itself is a big win! The Men’s SEC/ACC Challenge is also going on tonight.

As they should. When expectations are high and performance lower than expected, they look foolish as with Juju so far this season. When players exceed expectations that coverage also comes. Juju to this point in the season has shown no sophomore jump in performance rather quite the opposite. Then for her to come out and play 32 minutes against a 0-9 team that has below a 300 net and rpi ranking to score 40 points is petty, probably more so on the coaching staff rather than her because they had all kinds of bench players only get 6-8 minutes against a team that probably won't win many games this year. Espn wants so badly for JUju to be the face of women's basketball and so far this season her performances are far from that.
