There are apparently degrees of severity in play here, and it could be that Bueckers’ fracture was very small, and the surgery/recovery time might be less serious/shorter because of that. Who knows?

I refuse to believe that UConn is PB or bust. What happened to all those 5 star players and top 5 players? Did they suddenly forget how to play? I can't believe UConn is all about one player but it's mystifying that no one is stepping up to fill the void.

(Having watched that game, I've no argument with their complaints. The officiating, especially the non-calls, was as bad as any I've seen us endure.)

At this point, I don't know why, but, I'm continually amazed at some of our fans obsession with uconn.
We've only played them a couple of times in the past decade. They're not in our conference. They'll not even be ranked ahead of us when the next poll comes out. Yet, they occupy a huge amount of space in the minds of many of our fans. As evidenced but reading multiple current threads on this forum.
If there's a team that LV fans should be concerned with, it's South Carolina. They're the #1 ranked team and they're in our conference. To win anything meaningful this year will probably mean beating SC.
I see it as yesterday's news vs tomorrow's possibilities.

What makes funny is the recent posts accusing UConn fans of being obsessed with Tennessee.

Personally I get it. It’s a “forever” rivalry, more so now that they are playing each other.

Are u lady vols fans? Just asking. We talk about who we wana talk about that's wat fans do. Vols are not the only fans talking about them. I read a lot of comments from WNBA players that stated " Most schools lot star players, just show out with wat u have ".. Another comment stated, Wait for Uconn portal...These were wnba players not lady vols. I've never seen any player from wnba or other schools talk mess about pat, all these is cause of Geno's big mouth not the players.

I get that as well. But then i remember some of our fans have been here for all of or most of the battles with uconn that go back a couple of decades. Between them taking over, Geno's antics, Geno's disrespect to Pat in the public, the candace parker dunk , Geno leaving candace off the olympic team (and yes he has a say in who he wants), DT being a LV killer, to the media saturating LV vs uconn even when they weren't playing it was always mentioned a couple times a year that they weren't so we were still hearing it.

THEN Westbrook left, Geno renewed trash talking and throwing tantrums because he didn't get his way of Evina not being immediately, etc.

All in that time SC has come to power but the reality their coach (at least in public) has praised TN, Pat, and was even an advocate for Holly.

So you ask why it is easier not to be worried about SC i would say more like those are the reasons that some truly don't like (on the verge of hate) Uconn and are more worried about them than SC. Plus, it doesn't seem like a rivalry just yet. Not that there is not respect but SC dominance does not go back as far as the uconn/tn bad blood feud. Maybe in time it will switch. But being saturated with uconn in the media probably doesn't help those obsessed either

This is NOT by any means meant as you being one of those fans but we got some posters claiming to be or respect TN as their team or one of their favorites and none of their posts ever credit the team for anything they do but quick to point out negatives or discrepancies.

In comparison the uconn obsession doesn't seem quite as weird as NEVER complimenting one of your favorite teams

I'm a LV fan.
I didn't tell anyone what they can or can't do. I'm simply making an observation. I'll sum it up to make it easy for you. Imo, uconn occupies far too much of our thoughts, and that we should be more concerned with the #1 team in the country, who also happens to be in our conference.

Maybe , but you left out Stanford however if your worried about cupcakes the NCAA is actually rewarding teams with undefeated records against what is considered quiet weak teams.
