The South Carolina bench outscored the whole Vandy team. Vandy didn’t score more then 8 points in any quarter. It must be hard to be a Vandy fan.

I thought last night was the most compete game South Carolina put together for some time.

Vandy is obviously outmatched and shot poorly as well but SC totally controlled that game on both ends.

I’m sure Dawn noticed too, but I honestly think they’re a better team with Grissett out there than with Cooke. LeLe’s shot selection is great and she plays within herself. I think seeing the bench some this season has really helped her mature and she may be ready to break out a bit. Always thought she was a quality player.

Actually hope Cooke isn’t out long term. I think SC is much easier to guard and more beatable with her on the floor. She’s extremely talented, but her low percentage, volume shooting, has caused some issues for South Carolina this season.

Carolina didn't even have to play hard last night. Vandy had the worst performance and effort I've seen from an SEC team this year.

I would agree. I do think SC played well defensively and didn’t take the opportunity to jack around and play lazy like they could have.

Vandy did not look good though. I think Ralph is going to learn the hard way that the SEC is not welcoming and it’s difficult to play in. I think she believes she’s going to bring that UCONN job with her but she is going to struggle if that’s what she is thinking.

It’s very, very difficult to recruit at Vandy. Just because they hired a former UCONN assistant doesn’t change that. It’s still Vanderbilt.

Vandy looked more like the team that lost to Arkansas Little Rock by 16 and then to Middle Tennessee. They really hit the low last night shooting 20 percent from the field. They have limited talent and expect the road in the SEC is going to be a really bad ride for them.

I'm reserving judgement until she's had a few years to try to build something. I can already see a scrappier attitude with the players. Surely nobody at Vandy (or the Boneyard) thought she would immediately shoot the 'Dores up to competing for SEC championships. lol

But we all know there are monied people in that area, and we don't know yet what Ralph's recruiting tactics will be. Could be she has some tricks up her sleeve. We'll soon see. I can almost guarantee that she'll get some outside support.

P.S. I have NOT watched the SC-Vandy game yet.
