Didn't they have all of their players when South Carolina blew them out earlier in the season?PB, Fudd and Ducharme together, will be interesting to see shot distributions. Could be a deadly combo or could be a hard mesh for awhile. I suspect PB is lead dog as soon as she gets on the court again, but the other two may have something to say about that. I bet Ducharme goes back to the bench as a 6th player to spot the other two once PB is ready to start. If so, she is a heck of a 6th to have. She would be averaging 16+ a game as a freshman starter at most schools.
UConn is going to be so dangerous in the tourney, 3 very solid to very good bigs to compliment the trio of shooters mentioned plus Williams….and their PG is starting to really play well
I think that since that first game, both Fudd and Ducharme have gotten a lot better. Since that time also, Rivers and Hall have improved as well so there's no advantage gained. I still think SC is the team to beat, but UConn will create problems for whichever #1 seed happens to be in their bracket.Didn't they have all of their players when South Carolina blew them out earlier in the season?

I hear you Amb, but a luxury is typically something you have but don't nec need...Come tourney, I think every one of those players will be needed to get to a FF, parity is here to stay and there are many teams in WBB that go 8 deep now in quality. So having a bench like that is almost a necessity for really deep runs.Amihere and Cardoso both. A real luxury to be able to bring players like that off the bench.
I agree for those 2 players mentioned and probably Rivers as well. Those 3 plus the starting 5 makes for a strong core during close games...but then you also have Grisette, Feagin, Hall and Littleton. Probably don't need to play them much at all, but those are players that would start for most schools and can pretty much be kept in the "In case of Emergency" box for SC. Must be nice lol.I hear you Amb, but a luxury is typically something you have but don't nec need...Come tourney, I think every one of those players will be needed to get to a FF, parity is here to stay and there are many teams in WBB that go 8 deep now in quality. Nope, I don't think they can. That's one of the reasons I'd bet money on SC in a rematch, even with Bueckers there. The problem for UConn is can they keep SC off the offensive glass ?
Fudd wasn't hurt and she played 10 minutes. took one shot and missed. Ducharme didn't play. Both were/are freshman and it was only the 4th game of the season. Since then both players are averaging better than 12ppg. Rivers and Hall are averaging 2.6 ppg so that advantage goes to UConn.Yes. PB played, but they did have a few on the bench. Fudd was still hurt I believe.
I wouldn't say that Ducharme is foul prone. She averages 2 fouls per game in 25 minutes played.Nope, I don't think they can. That's one of the reasons I'd bet money on SC in a rematch, even with Bueckers there.
I'm also not convinced that Fudd or Ducharme can guard SC's guards when they are driving to the basket without fouling. Azzi is on the court to score points, but if she can't play defense, then her negatives will outweigh her positives. Ducharme is foul prone and doesn't play smart defense.
Thank you for clarifying. I should never have tried to answer that question with the abundance of much more qualified posters available.Fudd wasn't hurt and she played 10 minutes. took one shot and missed. Amb, she will start off as a 4. Her game is primarily within 15 feet of the rim and she will likely see plenty of minutes in her first year as part of a rotation with Amihere who will take over Saxton’s 4 spot. And SC has the luxury of not even playing her next season with Boston, Amihere, Cardoso and Feagin all likely ahead of her in the depth chart...

I assume Feagin will be the one to share the 4 with Amihere (with Boston and Cardosa at the 5). Watkins could back up both the 4 and 5, but it would seem she would be 3rd string at both positions.Amb, she will start off as a 4. They played that lineup a bit vs. Tennessee. Boston has the skillset to play the 4, but it seems like a waste of her talents to play her there, unless SC is looking to just bulldoze the opposition with immense size for a stretch of the game.Unless Aliyah takes over the 4 and Cardoso takes over the 5. That could happen.
