Why was she thinking about leaving ?

It's South Carolina! 93% of all players are transfers, and she didn't want to be left out.

Why was she thinking about leaving ?

The main reason was how she was treated towards the end of the season. She didn’t like coming off the bench and she felt like she should’ve been a main option in the post season. The second reason was she and cooper had disagreements so she decided to transfer and when cooper did also she decided to talk with dawn and stay.

Figured she and Cooper had issues, no matter where Te'a goes, drama follows.

I have a hard time disagreeing with Kiki about the way Dawn utilized her to end the season. She was quite clearly, to me anyway, SCs most clutch player and their most dangerous offensive weapon. She can score inside and out, and she is a quality defender. Maybe there were behind the scenes issues, but I thought she should have been starting and playing significant minutes.

She was the player who came up big for them at times during the season when they needed it. Glad she was mature enough to work things out with her coach and move forward.

She will be a good one for some team. Texas seems to have a hard time hanging on to players. I am a bit surprised Collier had not put in for a transfer. Of course she will start, but how much will she develop?
I can give her a pass. My dad died when I was a senior in high school. It took me a couple of years to screw my head back on right. I wish her the best in the future.

Oregon State will now have 6’9”, 6’7” and 6’7” in the post after picking up a European player. If one of them can play they’ll be scary, if two of them can play a pretty well they might be unstoppable.

o_O Good gawd! That would have to make them the tallest team in the history of women’s college basketball, wouldn’t it? I can’t recall a team with three players that height.

Going to be a lot to handle for any team no doubt. Scott Rueck does a great job of getting the most out of his bigs too. Hamblin was great, then the next year Marie Gulich was maybe even better, Grymek this season wasn’t as effective but she was loads better than a season ago and impactful for a community college transfer. I think they’ll be in the final four next season.

Forgot about that, if 3 of them are capabale of being on the court at once there will be an unstoppable mismatch at 2 positions lol.

Lol yeah it’s crazy....... they should just lob the ball to each other and shoot layups all night......your only hope is to outrun them in transition!

Per who? Where did you get that info from in regards to Coop & HH not getting along?

I have friends in Irmo...Columbia....Camden (where I grew up). I attended South Carolina and most of my friends have close connections to the Gamecock program. It's what is being said by all of them. Cooper has a toxic personality that seems to rub almost everyone the wrong way. I would have second thoughts about bringing her aboard if I had good chemistry and the talent to make a run. It's not athletic ability that does her in.

Anyone have any information on what Madinah Muhammad plans to do? She would be a great pick-up for some team. She was excellent at Ole Miss and sat out last season after transferring to North Carolina, I haven't seen her name come through the transfer portal.

Curious if she's going to stick it out and go somewhere as a grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility.

She left Ole Miss as a rising senior and spent 1 redshirt year at NC. I don't think she qualifies as a grad transfer since she has to stay 2 years at an institution to get a degree from them. She only has 1 year of eligibility left. If she transfers again, she'll have to sit out another year. I don't think she can get a waiver.

That is an unfortunate situation for her, she is a very talented player.

Yeah, Karen Aston is probably on the hot seat of this year is a dud. She’s had way too much talent to be so mediocre.

To add I don't care if coaches recruit this way if you can find five players in the transfer portal you like that are no more than sophomores then a great way to get a top rated class without even looking at a high school player. A lot of terrific players in the portal see five you could easily pick out and let that be your class for 2020. Only ok with me though if your not running anybody on the present roster off. Cause some will get the portal kids and still sign three or four top recruits if they can get them then clear the bench of some present scholarship players that may not have lived up to expectations.
Excellent post.
