I live and work in Nashville and I get tired of hearing every sports show talk about the titans constantly. I cant stand them for many reasons . One being it appears to me that most vandy fans are titan fans. This merely gives them a glimmer of hope that they cheer for a team that MIGHT win a game every now and then. #2 no matter how many ints vince young throws he is still talked about being wonderful. #3 I hate when people refer to him as VY . #4 The titans have way too many sh@#bags playing for them. Always getting locked up sometimes beating their girlfriends sometimes DUI arrests, sometimes their thug buddies shooting people you name it . I wish they would lose every game every year , maybe they would pack up and leave. I could go on with more reasons but whats the point im sure someone is already pissed enough by reading this.

So, you're not a Titans fan, I take it.:lolabove:

the fact I think the titans are the 2nd or 3rd (and sometimes 4th) most important sports team in TN should explain it.

Titans are still looking at the playoffs atm, cochise.

Vols haven't been lookin so hot lately.

Bottom line: If Chow leaves his OC spot with the titans, it is going to be as a HC in college or the NFL.

:lolabove: have you seen what has to happen for them to get there? The only way they're looking at the playoffs is with either a ticket or remote in their hands.

I think you're really underestimating the Titans support. I love the vols and am currently a student at UT but the further you go from Knoxville the more people shift from UT fans first to vol fans. There's nothing wrong with that, and people shouldn't take that as an affront to UT or anything, but they also shouldn't underestimate the number of Titan fans.

Agree with this. I have lived in Knoxville all my life, currently go to UT, and have been a fan of the Vols since before I could walk or talk, but I am also a Titans fan, and neither diminishes my fanhood of the other team, which is why this is really a silly debate.

But most of you on here don't seem to realize that once you get more towards middle tennessee, more and more people pimp the Titans over the Vols. Alot of the media hangs all over the Titans, because they are really the only mainstream pro team that we have (other than the preds...which are kind of eh...hockey...).

In Knoxville, you see Orange EVERYTHING, and just a little bit of Titans stuff here or there. In most of middle tennessee, its the other way around. I haven't been to western tennessee since the Titans came here so I wouldn't be able to speak for them, but I know that alot of you people are underestimating the Titans fans over in other parts of the state.

There are also alot of Titans fans in regions around us. For example, on the college football board that I visit, I know alot of kentucky, ohio state, arkansas, and alabama fans who are also Titans fans because they just don't have other teams in their area (other than maybe ohio state fans who could root for cleveland or cinci). Not to mention alot of Texas fans are also Titans fans because of Vince Young and because the Titans are originally from Houston. Just like you still have people in TN rooting for Peyton with the colts, you have people in Texas rooting for the Titans and VY. You have people in Houston who grew up loving the Oilers who continued to follow the franchise after they moved.

You mean if Cincinatti upsets Cleveland or if Baltimore upsets the Steelers? Dear God, you are right, those are IMPOSSIBLE odds.

And as far as beating the Jets in week 16 and beating the Colts sitting all their starters in week 17...I wouldn't say its impossible. The D is healthy again.

They don't control their own destiny, but then again, neither did LSU after they lost to Arky, and they still got in the NCG.

And there is no underestimating the fan support for the Titans west of the Tennessee River. There is not much.

The Titans are good for our city. Given the choice between you and the Titans, I think I'll take a pro franchise.

There is a reason I said "real"

Grizzlies and Preds are kind of "ehhh"

Besides, the Titans are the only pro team with "tennessee" in the name, not tied to a city.

then please keep your crap in that city to prevent it from trashing an otherwise beautiful state. The should have just tanked this season and tried to draft a QB.

Well, I think he would be a good fit but we couldn't afford the salary he is getting with the Titans...oh..btw.........I don't even watch NFL...at all!!!! Might start watching AAFL this next year....see what Team Tennessee is going to be able to do!

you are retarded. Second year QB's typically don't reach full potential with reject WR's. Try to get some knowledge before you run your mouth.

I think your statements in this thread proved that knowledge is not required to post

Last year it was cause he was a rookie and now it's because he's in his 2nd year. How many years before that excuse runs out?

Well, to be quite honest, I would say that the NFL pro bowl is one big popularity contest. 11 cowboys on the pro bowl selections, sheeeeez. Young was exciting and seem to do what ever it takes to win, but his numbers were mediocre at best, with a pretty good defense.

numbers don't mean ish. It's all about wins in the NFL and its hard to make the playoffs when you're starting with an 0-5 slate brought to you by Kerry Collins.

doesn't suprise me , I hate hockey but I thinik I would rather have the preds than the titans. At least they are not a burden on society.

PS. VY throws like a biaatch
