Agreed
We lose a lot of guys on defense but the D line should still be good. I am guessing front 4 will be West, Moi, Hobbs, and Josephs.

an elite front 4. Believe Eason can still come back right? he should, could get drafted after another solid year. Herring, Ross, Wallace, Weathersby, Robinson, Gentle, Jenkins-- A lot of talent waiting to step into their roles

Pretty sure I heard Eason can come back but he did participate in senior day.

Ehh Garner doesn’t put many freshmen in the rotation if he can help it, unless a guy is an immediate impact guy. Rather seriously doubt any freshmen will be in the rotation this year, especially undersized defensive tackles who need to add 30 pounds.
Hobbs did play some as a true freshman. Maybe not in the 2-deep, but he did get some reps in there, especially in 2nd half of season, as best as I can recall. I think we have more than one incoming guy that could do this if needed.

Getting some reps is not the same as being in the rotation. Pearce didn’t even really make the rotation as a freshman, and he’s one of the two best pass rushers we have had in the past 20 years or more

ESPN/ ABC have changed the story about Nico’s class rating 3 different times this year. This time next year the story will be that he was a 3 star and not ranked in the top 300. Kiper had Pearce as 14th overall prospect one week and then in the 20s two weeks later. These people are idiots (remember the graphic that showed Peyton leading us to the 98 Natty?) The fact that they make money to be so bad at something is galling.
Kiper also sold will levis and caleb williams as the next greatest qbs ever, obviously dont listen to a word that guy says

Yep and 5* Ross played this season on special teams and a little on the Dline too I believe. Campbell is a top50 player, barely outside the usual 32 players that are 5 stars. As I said in my original post, hes 270 now but by the time next season starts is likely 290. I believe he is gonna be a special player for us. Its amazing that we landed a high 5* guy in Ross and he couldn't even crack the rotation because our Dline is so deep. We have come SO far. 5 years ago Ross would have started game 1 as a true freshman. That said, we lose a bunch of Dline guys this season. Will put 4 or 5 of them in the NFL. We wont be quite as deep next year without portal help, but i think we signed 5 guys on Wednesday that will play in 2026 and beyond. I read the other day that only 6 guys from the 2024 class are NOT redshirts this year. Thats amazing. Add the other 18 guys to this years class, and youre talking about 43 or so guys next season that are REALLY talented and still have 4 years eligibility. Thats how we get depth on par with UGA and Bama. GO VOLS

Because once in Garners system it is hard for any freshman to start upfront. They may recieve reps and create depth but it is learning curve for freshman playing on great defenses. Got to get strong and tough. All the big dogs have strong D lines that make it tough. Them juniors are seniors are grown arse men after 2-3 years with Garner. GBO
