I am very much looking forward to watching these two develop over the next two or three years. Marquez is a beast.

Just wait till they get more reps with the same QB that can consistently get the ball to them....Lookout!

The one thing Dobbs has been close on but not quite is hooking up with North on the long balls, it is mostly timing and maybe, just maybe that will be solved this weekend. I also expect, Croom and the other overlooked WRs to score big this week.

We will win on rushing, if we can hit the big passes, that will loosen up the running game even more. Win on rushing & turnovers = the game, state, and bragging rights are all ours!

the thing with Dobbs, was accuracy right ? wasn't that why he has been listed behind Ferguson this year ?

North has been as impressive freshman as any I have seen in the SEC this yr. kid makes big plays and want to be great. His future is bright.

Pig has really stepped up too. He's made some great catches also. Croom has showed some signs also. Not much else has impressed me among the WRs

Maybe I've missed it, though I've watched every down of UT football this year, but where is this explosiveness that Pig is supposed to have? I see it posted here. I hear it from the announcers during the games. Yet, I haven't seen it on the field from Pig. Quite honestly, everytime I see Pig line up in the back field; I'm like, "Here comes a loss of yards."

I know Pig has potential, but I've yet to really see it on the field this year.

This. I see good quickness and great effort from Pig. Explosiveness? I don't know. I think if he were truly explosive we'd have seen a few more splash plays, a few long yardage plays that he took to the house, leaving a safety or 2 in his wake. What i see more than anything else is a 4 yard loss on that damn Pig or Jet sweep.

Still waiting....

He is averaging 5.5 per carry and has been tackled for a loss 3 times all season: once against Florida, once against South Carolina and once against Auburn.

Not sure why you would think that. I am always thinking we need to "feed the Pig".

Same thread, two Croom yrs later.. Don't count your chickens.. Yada yada

eye do wonder why they haven't went to Croom more and the other receivers,i think they should be spreading the ball around more

it is like the QBs have em locked down and throw to the called receiver ,with no check downs and the QB looking for the open guy,of course that can be on the QBs too

What's your idea of explosiveness? Are you trying to compare him to CP? Because that would be extremely unfair. I have seen him do some good runs with good speed this year. If your expectations are sky high then yeah he is not going to be explosive. If however you have realistic expectations then you should no problem realizing that when Pig gets his hands on the ball in the open field, he is explosive.

We could have North, Pig, Croom, Josh Smith, Pearson, Malone, and Williams all at one time in Orange. WOW! That would be WRU!

Maybe it's just the sweep the past few times they ran it. Seems like the defense has just sniffed it out. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. I just want to see some more big yard plays from him.

With the other elite speed recievers coming in next year I bet Croom gets used like a hybrid tight end. Like Hernandez was used for patriots . Doesn't really line up to block but gets match ups with linebackers and safeties where he's a mismatch with speed . Not sure he's fast enough for deep threat wide reciever but can outrun most linebackers.

Probably a cumulation of the last two years. Chaney probably ran him on the jet sweep or reverse 7-8 times last year too and he was stopped for losses several times... granted most of those he never had a chance, was hit behind the line.
