Poor guy got carried away with LSU's recent football success and had lost his mind.

Without smashing my tv due to unexpected shortcomings in UT football in the years following the '98 Championship, I probably still behaved like a spoiled child at times given my over-inflated expectations - including ripping the orange/white checkered Power T off my rear window after another dismal performance by my favorite team.

Indeed it was. And had that last xtra point not been blocked, it could have virtually ended Norvell at FSU. He needed that game way worse than Kelly.

Norvell and staff got bailed out. Choosing to go for it on 4th and goal at the 8 at the end of the first half instead of going up 10-3, running a toss play from the one yard line and playing extreme prevent D on the last possession, were all egregious coaching blunders. The blocked FG saved the staff from ridicule. Was happy to see LSU lose regardless of how it happened. FSU outplayed them anyway.
