Norvell/FSU

That has to be the same guy that posted this in tiger droppings.

Our only hope is that CBK gets his 4th booster and dies. Come on Pfizer, help us out.
Wow, and I thought smashing a TV in front of family and friends was insane, wishing for someone's death over a game is next level crazy.

Kelly, and I sincerely believe this, inherited more talent than he has ever had. It was off the charts for him. He is arrogant enough to think that his coaching would simply translate over to "big boy" football. He got a rude awakening that talent alone won't carry you. Kelly is gone after 2 years. LSU won't put up with this.

Norvel seems to suffer from the same problem that Pruitt and Butch had when they had a 7 point lead in the 4th quarter: an overwhelming desire to stop doing what caused the lead, and go full on conservative gameplay, with no intention of attempting to score.

Couple that with some really boneheaded play calls, pitch play on 4th and goal with 1:20 left on the clock, while up 7?

The team was lucky to have survived the coaching last night.

If I were FSU......I'd already be getting ready for the next coach. Norvell is a moron.

Maybe he doesn’t make it, but I saw him at Memphis, and he was a very good coach and recruiter. If you want to believe that he just followed Fuente, you can see where Memphis is now under Silverfield. Norvell took that program to its highest level. We will see how this season plays out, but he’s a very aggressive coach.

He sucks. As a coach. Typical Tiger high trash that moves on elsewhere and still sucks.

I didn't even mention Fuente, which BTW isn't exactly helping the argument here since he crashed and burned at VT, and would indicate that maybe doing well at Memphis doesn't translate to a higher program. Also, see Scott Frost at UCF.

Norvell is an awful HC and I hope he stays at FSU for a long time. That was two really bad teams trying to give eachother the game. BK didn't do himself any favors losing to that bum.

I'm torn

I like the intensity, f you's, birds, and more f you's from the fans, but I can't get that mad anymore.

Need to use that energy on the LSU coach, not FSU players. FSU players (and coaches) tried every way possible to give that game away.

Yep, winning big in the AAC (or YACK or whatever they call it) doesn’t automatically translate to P-5. Different world.

Everyone knows the transitive property is 100% in football

Fuente and Norvell are different. Fuente can’t recruit and won’t play the recruiting game. Norvell was stacking classes at Memphis that were some of the best in school history. I can’t quite remember who recruited them all, but Memphis has 4 RB’s and 2 WR’s in the NFL. I think at least 4 are from the Norvell era. Memphis was an awful program, so they at least knew how to build one. I agree that P5 is different and can be a crap shoot, but FSU was a dumpster when he got there.
