Not scared this year of anyone

i have been a fan of the song this charming man since they played it on the jackass 24 hour takeover about two years ago. I just downloaded the discography early september and have been listening to them non-stop. Really one of the most incredibly bands i have heard. The lyrics are the best i have seen, and the songs and vocals are unreal. Really top notch stuff on all levels.

wtf?

Seeing UNC lose makes me even more certain. We get to play Kansas at home and I already predicted a win in that game. Texas may be very good and Syracuse looks tough but I have not watched anyone this year including Villanova and Michigan State who I thought looked like a matchup we cannot win in the NCAA tournament.

Well, MHF, as I have stated in other posts, it is much too early to make realistic predictions. After tonight you may be able to think of many teams that could beat us---Purdue included. If we and Purdue play tomorrow the way both played today, it will not be a close game. That's why it is foolish to make predictions before you have any idea of how this team will play against quality opposition. Beating poor teams by a large margin actually probably hurts the team more than it helps and is not a realistic indicator of team strength.

We will see how different it is this year!!

Did you sign up with the right name? Negavol much?

It already is different in that there is not a single dominant team out there! Most of the teams in the top 10 have some glaring problems. I have not seen something about Texas that makes me question them, but I have seen something from everyone else.

Again, you base everything on a few early season games against very poor competition. I signed up the way I wanted and I am only realistic, which you are not. We don't know enough about any team to be making season long predictions as you enjoy doing. As I have told you before, making predictions with no real information is foolish. You admit that you don't deal with factual situations, so I am not surprised that you continue with your silly comments.

Please tell me the glaring problems of Kansas.

Enlighten me with your brilliance...

You dare question someone with the basketball knowledge of MHF? He obviously has looked at the results of every single Division I team and studied their weaknesses. Only Texas has none---I'm sure he will soon predict an undefeated season and national championship for them. Now that he has effectively removed Hat from this forum due to his concern about being called names, he will control everything with his brillance and round the clock expert analysis of all Division I teams.

Did Hatvol rename himself?

Tclowers I generally agree with you but not here.
Tyshawn Taylor and Elijah Johnson both look turnover prone and Sherron Collins cannot break the press by himself.

Kansas showed lots of weaknesses against Memphis. I liked this breakdown from a Kansas fan an obsessive blogger:
Mount Aldrich tops rankings
Blog: The Keegan Ratings
By Tom Keegan
November 18, 2009

1. Cole Aldrich: He makes shooters so tentative in the paint, makes them think about where he is and whether he’s a threat to block their shots. Had 18 points, 11 rebounds, five blocked shots and a steal.

2. Sherron Collins: Bothered by leg cramps, he missed a long stretch but came back in time to steady the ship. Had 12 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists and attempted just seven field goals.

3. Marcus Morris: Had 10 points, moved his feet great on defense and generally looked very confident.

4. Markieff Morris: Played strong defensively and contributed six rebounds.

5. Xavier Henry: Forced it a little offensively, making 3 of 11 shots from the field. Had four turnovers without an assist, but did contribute three steals.

6. Tyrel Reed: Missed both shots and had trouble feeding the post.

7. Tyshawn Taylor: Rough, rough night. Had game-high five assists, but missed all four field goal attempts and committed seven turnovers.

8. Thomas Robinson: Played just two minutes, had an offensive rebound and couldn’t convert. Coach Bill Self said it was not a good night to play Robinson and Aldrich together because of the quick lineup Memphis used.

9. Elijah Johnson: Rattled by Memphis pressure, not unusual for a freshman guard playing in November.

Yes, he certainly can break our pathetic press by himself.

A guard already fighting cramps at this time of the year cannot carry a team for 35 minutes against a press when he is the only one having to break it.

Have you played basketball?

Being pressed wears you down especially when you cannot rely on your backcourt mate so you are just running past and through the guys pressing you.

Again, another brillant post by MHF. He provides the most complete analysis of every major college team. Hat didn't change his name, it just seems that way to you since everyone feels the same about you as Hat does.

When was the last game we pressed anyone for 35 minutes? Even 25?

Sure as hell wasn't tonight!

For the obvious reason of why we shouldn't press Kansas much when they come. If we see the press more than a couple of times, I'll be amazed. But I think Texas will beat Kansas this year anyways.

You are absolutely correct. We never press anyone for 35 minutes. MHF never lets facts get in the way of his brillant comments. He also asks questions about why you say things that you never said.

MHF, you continue to ask questions about comments that were never made. Show me where I said Florida was a terrible team from a weak conference. Why to you continue to embarrass yourself?:clapping:
