Love Dr. B and company, but here's a look back for you newbies:

doc and quake know nothing more than volnation. They're wrong more than right. Im like you, wait and see but keeping fingers crossed

At Least Doc hasn't turned on the VOLS like the Knoxville Idiots.

I agree they have little "insider" street cred, but here in Chatt Town the pickin's are slim.

GBO !

I love hearin' Doc calling people idiots, and bama fans are tater diggers. :)

They get people riled up and just have a good time. It's all about entertainment, not sports reporting.

Walk up to any usher on gameday, ask them where your seat is, and you will have a better source close to the program than those guys.

Doc and quake are fun to listen to, but they have no sources, they really are no better than any of us on here. BUT, they know that and its kinda why I like them. They are more about the local sports teams than big stuff to do with Tennessee. These guys will devote as much time to high school wrestling as anything. They regurgitate things they hear, no more. They can be stupid though, they ran with the da'rick suspension thing and still report that Tyler bray smokes weed too much like its a fact from a press release.

Dr.B's brother, Music Man, used to have pretty good info when Fulmer was around. That was a long time ago.

I think you might want to rewrite that.

Boosters are saying Hyams is wrong because they tried to force Hart's hand with the TFP article. In my opinion, the boosters wish it was true and may even have gotten some interest but ultimately the AD and Gruden could not get on the same page. Guy is an NFL coach anyway. It is time to look to the guy who cashed his BCS ticket last night in Charlie Strong.

It's time to let it go. "It's done" "soon" "press conference In xx days" isn't true. Time to hope we have some leads to get the new coach on the recruiting trail.

Im not sure its true either but honestly neither you nor I have a clue what is going on. Just want this done and a new coach hired.

Let's face it. We aren't Alabama. We can't get the grand slam hire......heck we aren't even considered.

Why do you assume that even Alabama would be able to get him or would take the terms that he is demanding? I have felt all along that his reluctance stemmed more from NCAA rules and practice limitations than it did $$. If he doesn't want to be here and he is concerned about breaking rules either on purpose or inadvertently, then we dang sure don't want or need him here. I think we could have landed the #1 recruiting class with him next year, but at the same time, 3 years down the road, we could be facing scholarship reductions and vacated wins. Just isn't worth it to me.

Dooley could punch a BCS ticket in the Big East.

From what I know. He is in good with TT and Big JIM. Also, there a coupole ex UT players around Chatt Town that he is in with and often come on his show. If he got info from TT I beleive it. I have worked for TT myself on his homes, and have talked to him many times. If he is telling Haksew this.. I believe it.

Search "Haskew" on here...check out Chattanooga Sport Talk" matches. The show is pretty entertaining, but Dr. B is wrong about as often as he is right. He once ate a can of dog food on air over a lost bet (I heard it was canned ham with a swapped Alpo label).

He is a bit of a jinx...if he calls something a lock, you are probably better off taking the other side.

On something like this, he could have good sources...Thunder Thorton has been a friend/caller to the show, Dewey Warren has been on it a ton...I believe he has a source on booster side that he believes. Not sure who it is...

Its over Hart is going after JF. He thinks that will excite everyone. Wake us up when this dumb mess is over. I say JG or bust. If we are going to be middle of the pack just rehire PF.

NOPE! Charlie Strong is not the guy to lead Tennessee in the SEC....He's a good DC for sure and I'd want him as a DC--but not a HC...coaching Louisville in the Big East does not translate into being THE GUY we need to revive the Volunteers....Patterson, Roman, Jimbo Fisher....:salute:

Yep, and Larry Brown is an NBA guy. The college landscape is much different $$ today. With the TV deals and budgets, be prepared for the $8mil college coach coming soon.

I wouldn't be so sure about JF. He always loses one he shouldn't like NC State this year. If he beats Florida every year he's basically in the NC game.
