Not suprised we got bad calls again

Also, has anyone stopped to consider the fact that we probably get called for a lot of fouls because we foul a lot?

We have not been getting calls all year. This game was lost from the 12 min to the 8 min mark with all those bad calls. Then they gave Bruce a warning and he had to remain calm or get a T. But this has happened all year. I say we have lost 5 games to iffy calls. That was like a 6-8 point swing in that span.

Well with recruiting screwed this will be our best team in the next few years. We are back to a .500 sec team at best. Sad how this whole ncaa thing has taken our team down in one season. All the magic is just gone.

Even though I am not suprised I just won't let myself get pissed like I did earlier in the season. We already know the outcome. They will even try to get us out of the sec tourney asap and put us in the nit.

Even though i think Bruce screwed up now they are just screweing the kids. They try to play hard and get screwed game after game.

Officiating wasn't great, especially the amount of times Erving Walker got phantom calls and put him on the line, but the bottomline is we missed free throws and that's why we lost. 4/10, HORRIBLE.

Vols go 4-10 on free throws an last miss was Tatum on front end of 1 + 1 with 25 seconds in game & Vols up 1. Bad calls did not beat us. Not making free throws beat us. We are just horrible at the foul line like every year since Lofton. This one is on us not refs

Some sports losses over the past few years have been the fault of poor officiating. Why should any team in the country have to play uphill due to bad calls? Not fair to the players or the fans.

Those who even remotely blame the loss tonight on officiating, you seriously should consider not watching sports anymore.

I give Donovan credit for adjusting our offensive sets to the middle of the floor instead of letting our midget point guard get trapped by two defenders and the far sideline. UT didn't adjust, Walker attacked the paint and got calls.

I suppose that you predict our free throw throw percentage to greatly improve as well as the officiating and because of that we will win it all come March?

Sometimes the officiating leans in your team's favor and sometimes it doesn't. Learn to accept it and cheering for your chosen team will be much more enjoyable.

meanwhile Hopson attacked the paint and got hacked.. without the calls. the refs took Hopson out of the game.

there were a few times Hopson drove and drew contact with no call. Wilbekin stopped him one time and got a crap foul called one time.

Wilbekin did a much better job than Parsons, who was limited with that hip injury.

Bottom line is UT wins this game if they manage to shoot 60% from the FT line, and/or if Pearl draws up a play for Hopson instead of letting Goins direct the last play. When I saw Pearl motioning to play on, I was really surprised.

i don't disagree with that at all. Regardless of any bad officiating, we lost that game for ourselves. We had EVERY opportunity to put it away and we just didn't. The refs certainly didn't help our cause, but they were far from the biggest issue in this game.

EVery game we get no calls. Bruce doesn't know how to overcome it and the team implodes. Guess what Bruce. You can't overcome it. It's the ncaa.

Blaming this loss on the officiating is patently stupid.

Exactly, most teams don't react the way this team does when they get a bad call. We like to whine. This team has a hard time dealing with things when they are not going their way. Shows a definite lack of maturity.

if we hit the few free throws we had we would have won. tatum should have driven to the hole instead of that shot.
....if we are getting all the bad calls, what are we doing shooting free throws?

If they'd play smarter basketball you wouldn't notice the refs that much. All i saw was a team self destructing down the stretch again, nothing to do with the refs this time.
