I think that was a good idea. KK has just not been giving much positive minuets last few games and not aggressive at all for a player her size. Time to see what the bench has. Paid off today. Not bashing a player, just stating the obvious. Get better and you play, way it should be.

Absolutely! Jaiden played well and is a bruiser. We’re going to need her in SEC play. That’s why I don’t understand why she didn’t get to play in the UConn game

I didn’t see the game but what did she do that was so positive? The stats don’t seem to support that.

2-6 from the field, 0-1 on threes, 1-4 on free throws. 4 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals, 1 turnover and 4 personal fouls.

She didn't get pushed around, fought for position on the post. The 3 point shot was at the end of shot clock. Played with attitude.

Key lets teams push her around and McCoy is not so easy to push around ! And Jaiden is going to get in a scrum under the goal and Key is letting other teams bully her ! Two different players... JMO

Mostly on the defensive end she really just seemed to help everyone know where to be on defense. She was like a coach on the floor when someone got lost she sent them in the right direction could hear her yelling even watching on tv. Second they had to defend her she was getting the best of her defender and opening up for the drive by other players. The two that Massengill got in the paint was all because she had the defender penned inside and couldn't get out to her.

Nice. Stats don’t tell the entire story for sure.

I think she was sending a message to a few players, Rae and Tamari included. We have to get consistent contribution from them.
I thought McCoy showed how the post needs to be played. Some positive's to take from the game . I thought we were well prepared in the game. Rennia Davis continues to empress. Jordan Horston is getting better at not trying to make the impossible pass. A negative or two as well. We can't always depend on our size to rebound as you have seen in the last two games, as Uconn and LSU both had us boxed out on most every play, and that is the only reason that Mitchell got so many points, as no one was between her and the goal until the last shot she attempted at the end of the game and that one was blocked. As you know defense and rebounding wins games and I think this starts with the (not just one coach) but the coaching staff. The last thing is stalling for almost 4 minutes. We did that like four times and it resulted in three terrible shots from the 3 line and one charge, I don't see how this helps. I am always delighted to get a win and in my opinion this is the first good team we have beaten this year, so lets build off this and keep it going, Yep believe it or not I am a VFL

I agree about Key. However, she is a superb shot blocker.

Yes! And that makes a huge difference defensively. She gives us the back line we’ve been missing. She can erase a lot of mistakes and she has great timing. Avoids the foul very well for a young player.

You can actually see guards dribble in and turn around. Haven’t seen that for some time.

Key is a very good rebounder, it takes team members to box out too. Look at her stats for season. I would like to see her and McCoy in line up more. KK is on and off too much, she might be sick, the last week has been worse I have seen her all year. Horston and Key don't seem to be on the same page with short passes. I don't understand why passes to Key are not up high.

Key and Jaiden both gather and protect their rebound instead of offering it
I haven't seen Emily enough to tell...hopefully she will up her efforts in practice so I can get a good read on her
Re JH and TK,,sorry but from what I see TK looks for JH to pass and JH looks for TK to give it to...got to disagree on this one

Key has great timing. She blocks the ball and not the player. That is why she commits so few fouls. They may have to nickname her "Bill Russell" as she continues her shot blocking prowess. I hope most have heard of Bill Russell.

With Key's timing in blocking shots so good, it suprising she doesn't average 7 or 8 boards a game. 6'5 with long arms. LSU had 23 offensive rebounds today.
