Notre Dame's schedule is a BEAST.

Yeah, ND used to catch a lot of criticism of how weak their schedule was, but they have stepped it up in recent years. Part of it is simply Stanford going from being a cupcake on the schedule to one of the best teams in the country. We'll see how they handle the transition away from Harbaugh and now Luck though.

Typical BS by Notre Dame. "We're going to play a 'tough' schedule" when in reality, the majority of the teams on that schedule will suck during whatever season it is. And they'll STILL manage to lose one or two games that they shouldn't.

Happens every year.

Notre dame is the laughing stock of college football. it would take Jesus himself to go to south bend and win. everyone who roots for them is obviously either at least age 40, or is going solely off of hype. every year, these scumbags are ranked in the top 25. every year they lose to teams they shouldn't. i know this is only my second post, but i follow football religiously, no pun intended haha. this is the most overrated team in the last 30 years by a longshot.

Did you watch any Tennessee or KU football games this season?

When ut and ku do well, they get national coverage. When they suck, they dont.

When nd does well, they dominate cfb headlines. When they suck, they still get as much coverage as anyone.

I agree and that is the perk of having their own television contract.

My comment was more directed at the 'laughing stock of college football'; such a statement is ridiculous. Notre Dame might be down and might not ever return to their glory days, however, I think many fans would take an 8-5 record with only one game that they should not have lost (USF).

Take into consideration, the hype built around ND compared to UT or KU EVERY YEAR. Its not even close.

They came into this year ranked 16th. That proved to be generous; however, I would be hard-pressed to refer to that as 'hype'.

Correct, but the hype regardless of rank, comes from the analysts and i think we can all agree that the majority of them pick ND to go 10-2/11-1/12-0 and win the NC... And its not just one year, its EVERY year.

If Purdue has a decent squad, look for them to beat Notre Dame. Playing that game a week later after flying back from Ireland is going to be tough on the Golden Domers

Yep. I bet they go 8-4 at best.

Yep. It took a while, but I've managed to completely ignore ESPN when it comes to college sports coverage. Feldman moving to CBS made it a lot easier, so I go there. I'll also catch Barnhart maybe once a week on TV. He's not great, but the show is a damn sight better than the Mickey Mouse garbage ESPN puts up.
