pardon me if I'm totally missing something, but I haven't seen anything official regarding the outcome of the investigation?

ESPN is reporting it so there is at least some serious legs to the story...

There is a chance USC could win an appeal but that's very unlikely

Now that LK got what he had coming to him, and all the pissed off Vols fans (myself included) got what they were hopeing for. Do you think now Volnation can MOVE ON. Maybe now we can focus on the future and quit spending so much time arguing about our ex-douchbag coach. GO VOLS!!!

I am certainly not a Lame Kitten fan, but it just seems wrong to punish a group of kids that were in middle school when these violations took place. Admittedly, I don't know how else the NCAA could have reacted, but it seems to truly expose the flaw in how these types of infractions can be punished. To me, this only illustrates that the players and coaches responsible can act inappropriately, use the advantages to propel their respective careers, and then leave the future of the program to deal w/ the consequences. It just doesn't pass the smell test. With that said, it couldn't have happed to a better collection of "in-it-for-me" mercinary coaches. Good luck USC. Seems like you're going to need it...

The Seniors and juniors can transfer without penalty , i believe, and the incoming freshman knew that this was being investigated and could have possible sanctions attached

i dont care if UT picked up there 3rd string kicker (which would be better than #25) if they were able to take some SC jrs and srs that would be too great.
Chris Gallipo would be nice

Well I for one am happy Lane is at USC and not UT anymore as He was taking us down the exact same road...So many minor violations, It was only a matter of time before a big one happened...When he starts losing out there and He will that LA press will eat him alive and hopefully bury that dirt bag once and for all...And then and only then will UT fans have their satisfaction.

Does anyone have an opinion about how deep Hostess Gate can go?

From what I've resd there's nothing there but it certainly would suck if Kiffy tried to take us down with him

The USC job is now a drastically different one than the one Lane Kiffin accepted a few months ago. Loss of scholarships, loss of postseason play, and now it looks like he's gonna have to battle Texas and Oklahoma year in and year out. All the titles that many predicted he would win out there are looking like they will be far tougher to come by any time soon.

I bet little Lame feels like he just stepped into the hot tub time machine sending him back to the pre-Carrol days at USC when they were irrelevent.

I wonder if he regrets leaving now. He is only going to have a chance to have a decent team for probably 2 years and he can't go to a bowl in either of those. The lose of at least 20 scholarships is going to destroy them for a good 10 years like it did Bammer.

It is a beautiful day. this could not have happened to a better person. Enjoy your new job. I do feel kind of bad for the kids who are there that had nothing to do with this though.

Karma sucks Lame!!!!!

they can still appeal the ruling. when it's said and done, USC will be bowl eligible next year.

I doubt it . They were not very cooperative with the investigations. Many feel hiring LK was also sign of defiance to the NCAA.
