I 110% agree with the sentiments above. It has driven me crazy how so many of the season ticket holders, especially, like to sit on their tails with headphones on. Why blow thousands on tickets? What's the point? You get replays at home, and it's air-conditioned, and your cozy slippers are there. . . . and. . . .
Sometimes, I wonder if the athletic department isn't a little to blame. With the season ticket process and grandfathering that has gone on for so long, not many young, energetic folks can afford them. Then you get companies, etc. that have lots of tickets and give them to clients or guests who may or may not be so passionate about UT football.
Our stadium has the potential to absolutely ROCK. With the steep elevation of the seating, the full-oval enclosed upper deck, and press boxes rising high above to echo noise. . . . I mean, it's LOUD as is, but could you imagine if we could get the other 50,000 people up and screaming? It would be deafening.
I really wish more would be made by the media of our relative lack of intimidation. Maybe if Adams or Griffen would write a article on this we could "mobilize the troops." Having visited a number of our enemies' turfs, and awaiting LSU in a few weeks, I can say that the Fear Factor in Knoxville isn't up to par.
