What about the line play? I have my own opinions but I'd like to hear yours.
I thought they would be dominant. I knew they could pass block, but I thought everyone of them would make huge strides in run blocking. (Which of course hasn't happened)
I honestly thought they would be so good, that they would mask a lot of Worleys inexperience. Of course there may not be a line in the NFL that is capable of that.

So you don't think run blocking is better at all, considering last year the passing game was the focal point of our offense?
I need to look up our yards per carry last year. Anyone know what it was?

I'm not Goat, but I will give my opinion on the line play.
With all of the hype leading up to this season, I expected them to be the one dominant part of the team. They should have completely manhandled WKU, APU, and USA to the point we shouldn't have had to worry about an atrocious passing game. If the OL were what they were built up to be, we should have been able to rush for 500 yards (slight exaggeration) in each of those games. Instead we saw only sporadic domination of the line of scrimmage. It seems that for every one hole they blew open, there were three others that the back was tackled in the backfield or the pressure was in the QB's face.
At this point I feel that the OL has been very very overrated and underachieving.
Not really an opinion as much as a question: Could the line play be more of a coaching issue? I ask this in remembrance of their line play a few years ago when the blocking schemes seemed to be very complicated and the players really struggled with them. I could be totally out in left field on this, but it's just a observation. What about the line play? I have my own opinions but I'd like to hear yours.

I'm just not convinced the line play is as bad as some are making out. I can't see how it's worse than the qb/wr play to this point.
I'll admit I'd like to see a bit more consistency, and we shouldn't be having the stretch like we had on Saturday during those three possessions where we couldn't get a first down.
And short yardage concerns me a little. Traditionally the shotgun zone read offense isn't the best for third or fourth-and-short situations.
