Now we need to....

It's not really this season. It's more to do with the past few years of watching us fall to all time lows while watching rivals at all time highs.

Gotcha. It's been tough being a Tennessee fan lately. I won't argue about that.

Not to disagree or nitpick, but unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe our backs had any negative rushing plays against WKU or APU. I might be wrong, but I believe that to be the case.

Nor any vs Oregon.... believe it or not.

Freak, I have said on here many many times and it seems that the majority doesn't understand the game of football and what it takes to be a successful offense.

South Alabama, like everyone so far, loaded up the box time and time again against us Saturday bringing 6-8 defenders on most of our offensive downs.

How are they supposed block 2-3 more bodies than they are able while executing their assignments??? Not to mention we have a very thin and inexperienced group of TEs which is EXTREMELY valuable and utilized in Bajakian's O.

I'm tired of hearing about our offensive line and how they are under performing, when in reality they are doing a fine job. The might not be pushing their man back 3-5 yds on every play but they are doing their job and without their talent we would be in a much much worse situation offensively.... THINK ABOUT THAT...

A bigger threat in the passing game would definitely open things up for our running game a little.

Imagine our oline having the chance to play hat on hat or picking up one blitzer instead of 3 every play because we were able to stretch the field. This Oline crap would not even be a whisper because of the success we would be having.

I am frustrated and pissed but I will never give up on the Vols. I knew this year was going to be brutal, especially with one of the toughest schedules in the nation. I thought Worley would be better and I didn't expect the defense to be this good. However I do see some improvement in Worley, albeit minimal.

I'm just not convinced the line play is as bad as some are making out. I can't see how it's worse than the qb/wr play to this point.

I'll admit I'd like to see a bit more consistency, and we shouldn't be having the stretch like we had on Saturday during those three possessions where we couldn't get a first down.

And short yardage concerns me a little. Traditionally the shotgun zone read offense isn't the best for third or fourth-and-short situations.

People always want to look at this crap in a vacuum which is ludicrous to me. We have abysmal passing consistency and still have managed good rushing yardage. That's solid in most circles.
