From the weekly wispers video, Mike Farrell sais he thinks we are out on Dunkley. Says it has to do with the Nukese insident. Sais Nuke told his friends and family that he was going to be a big part of the south Carolina game and with the bad rainy weather the coaches decided not to let the freshman do as much. This apparently angered Nuke enough to miss practice sunday and contact a few school about possibly transfering. Farrell sais all this happened around Dunkley and really turned him off. In my opinion the team does what it can do to win a game, and sounds kinda selfish on Nukes part. Its a team not a player. Now saying that i love Nuke and think he has a bright future, but he needs to be patient and kearn his role on the team.

I was one of Nuke's biggest fans, but all this constant drama is turning me against him. I still like the kid and am pulling for him, but this prima donna act is rapidly growing old.

I dont see why this is even an issue. He is one player. I hope he doesnt leave but if he does we'll still be able to roll out 11 guys on each side of the ball for the next 4 weekends and it will not impact our recruiting in Florida. Im not so sure how Nuke and Dunkley are going to fit into our offense going forward... maybe one of them but not both. This league is moving toward bigger receivers and besides Hancock we dont have any. Milton, Ambles, and Thompkins fit that bill. Nuke will be a great talent but if he wants to transfer good luck to him

Your title is very ironic. Starting a thread furthering the Nuke rumors and stating the rumors won't die.

I know that Nuke is suppose to be a talent, but I have yet to see where he is any better than anyone else on the field. I am very happy that he is not receiving punts any more. He scared the hell out of me back there. He never knew where the ball was in the air and how to catch it. Rogan is doing a much better job.

We need to use Nuke in the slot and get him the ball in open space to see what his ability in the open field. I would like to see that against an SEC defense instead of a Memphis State defense. Creer made Northern Illinois look bad on some plays but was limited in effectiveness against SEC talent.

Nuke needs some growing up to do. I hope he does well and plays to his potential. He's throwing tantrums. He is just out of high school...hope time fixes him

Ya when I read it I thought "it wont go away because we keep bringing it up." Yet here we are commenting on it. Feed the beast. The spice must flow.

Yea really, Give the kid a damn break. He has had a hard time adjusting. He isn't the first kid to go through these kind of things. Everyone in FL wants the kid to fail. He had huge expectations here that were almost impossible to live up to. He is extremely talented. It is only a matter of time. Coach Kiffin obviously believes in him and is doing everything he can to help him succeed. He doesn't need us bashing him.

I think the kid is going to be an awesome player here. He needs some time to find his place. Give it to him. Support the kid. Hell....

He's a young player and a young adult. I think as he matures he'll figure out that things will come his way just got to be patient. I think next year he'll look back on this incident and laugh about it.

If Kiffin really thinks Nuke is going to catapult us into recruiting his area of Florida, we'll see a heavy dose of him tonight, Vandy and possibly Kentucky. If our staff thinks we don't need him, it'll be business as usual for the rest of the season.

Kids will be kids. They have to learn to live with their decisions. I'm trying to hold out on offering opinions until we all know more.

I like the Dune reference.

Rexvol took heat for posting rumors from Florida sites but this one I am very glad he posted because it makes Nuke make sense to me.

Family in town, you tell them you are going to show them what you can do and you are ready to put the fumbling show behind you and then you do not even get a chance.

This kid had alot more pressure on him than the other freshmen. B Brown was much more highly ranked, but he has a hip pointer and still gets carries every game. Oku is not crying, J Jackson cannot be crying because he is starting and people are saying he could be better than Berry.

Askew is the guy I admire. You think you are good enough to get some PT freshman year, then you are told you are part of the long term solution and so you keep your head up, your mouth shut and you grow in wisdom and stature. I am just hoping the position he is learning is not the one that Luc or C Jones will play. I think Askew will be a good one.

Nuke isn't bigger than the program. If he's got a problem, tough. He sure is acting childish by whining like this.

Im sick of hearing about it. I love Nuke and want to see him have a brandon james role on this team, but if he is going to cause problems every time he does not have a good game than leave please.

Can someone please offer an explanation for all this freshman immaturity? I mean I understand these kids are 18 and out of the "muck" for the first time in their lives, but seriously this week was bad! JJ thinking he can take a "to go cup" out of a bar on the strip and then fighting the bouncer (rumor), nuke and all his drama, and even the gator trolls' rumors about teague not being completely satisfied.

This type of conduct would be the norm with other programs - but CLK has made it crystal clear that everyone needs to be on the same page. Look at all the attrition that occurred in the spring and summer. These freshman witnessed part of that and heard about all the rest. So why are they acting up now??

In the beginning of the year, when we weren't playing that well, these guys were model citizens. Now, that they have ALL gotten AMPLE playing time , now that upperclassmen are all healthy, and we are winning, why do they feel the need to do stupid crap?

Granted these are just a few guys, and a lot of it is just rumor, but these guys were the gems of the 09 class.

when you cater to these kids to get them in here you have to promise them the world ...yes it gives them the big head !

Once he gets experience in catching punts and making good decisions on the return....he will be a force

and im sure Frank Wilson is develping him as a receiver too

It's not fair to put the recruitment of Dunkley on Nuke's shoulders. It's also stupid. People love to oversimplify the decision making process that these seniors go through and think any little thing (e.g. items stolen at a summer camp) would change the whole landscape on their thinking. It's laughable and insulting to the intellegence of the recruit and their families. Yeah if Nuke is having a rough stretch it probably is not a plus in recruiting friends of his but lets not blow things out of proportion.

Like I said before just let the coaches worry about it and leave Nuke alone. I would hate for my first semester in college (they were quarters back then) to be on public display. It would be bad.
