Number one?

Does it really matter who is #1 between Florida & Alabama. If they both keep winning, they'll get to figure it out on their own.

Like most here I believe they're both miles ahead of the rest of college football this year, even Florida with their one man offense.

Who exactly has Texas played?

I haven't really looked at TU's schedule, but assuming you are correct.. that means USCw or even VA Tech has more of a claim than FU OR TU. I still think FU is the second best team in the state of Florida, and the best isn't located in Tallahassee either. But aside from all that, when these polls come out so early in the season, it makes it pretty difficult to throw the "number one" off the mountain even though good high school teams could win some of the games on the schedule... At least the AP finally came to their senses and realized the travesty that is upon us...

Must have a playoff NOW

How do we do this since the almighty Notre Dame plays not in any conference? And I would think that any playoff would have to consist of conference champions to be valid. And.. what about the conferences that do not have championship games? Like the Big 10 (I think).. Not insurmountable problems, but my understanding that the turd in the punchbowl is the Rose Bowl.. which will not give up it's contract with Pac10 and Big 10 matchups. Good.. tell 'em to pack sand, and they become a second tier bowl. (Anybody else go out there last year? The place is a dump)

Talk amongst yourselves..
