Nichols got beat a few times by a bad Oklahoma State defense. He’s not producing at a high level. He would’ve never started at Tennessee. But we are seeing Nichols produce at a high level now, because Nichols turned around and is starting for a decent SEC program and playing well. He couldn't beat out GE's starters that he developed, and instead of being patient and waiting his turn, he left. So, GE did, in fact, target and sign a quality HS recruit then developed him into an SEC starter. They just aren't starting here yet because our line is one of the best and oldest. (This is not specifically directed at anything you've said)
He’s Samoan. Money is paramount to them. Because they’re all about taking care of family. Can’t say I’m not bummed about this. This kid has so much potential. It is what it is, but man was looking forward to this wearing Orange
Turns out maybe blocking in that single wing scheme didn’t stunt his development…Mebbe had advantages. Required him to move his feet more than a traditional zone blocking OL.Seems like Satterwhite has secured the center spot and I’d anticipate Perry or Bennett take the RT spot. They are SUPER high on Perry
This looks like a reflection of how we played against Oklahoma. It is my belief we need a serious improvement to our OL play this year, or we may need to look for an OL guy. I hope these guys can get healthy and find a way.Report:

WTF are you talking about? This guy has been trending to OU for a while now and was CB’d there. This looks like a reflection of how we played against Oklahoma. This incredibly stupid take puts your UGA and Bama worshipping post in the ff in more context, so thank you for that. Glen is a really good offensive line coach.
He’s a bad recruiter and we have unfortunately created basically no depth in 4 years on the offensive line. I’m optimistic about our freshman and high school kids (although Utu would’ve had a shot at being a day 1 starter) but we have gotten 0 solid contributors from the first two classes and that’s a real problem. We’ve had to rely on Covid years and Spyre carrying water for the portal to have a semblance of an offensive line. It’s not that offensive line is a developmental position as many here will argue.. it’s not that we were hamstrung with initial classes as many here will argue. I will tell you it’s a bigger issue than that and if you want to believe differently, agree to disagree.
I don’t know if you can make $900K and be our 2nd highest paid assistant and do only the coaching on the field part of the job well forever. We need to find a Chop to support him or figure something out because offensive line depth is the biggest problem on this team and I think the biggest problem in the program.
It’s definitely not fixed because the freshman seem good and we have David Sanders coming in. There is a bigger problem than that.. maybe it doesn’t matter this year and Heard and Campbell play and were fine, but just because it doesn’t happen, doesn’t mean there aren’t concerns.
Replace Glen with Sam Pittman when he's fired.Glen is a really good offensive line coach.

Sam is as good as anyone’s that done it.Replace Glen with Sam Pittman when he's fired.
You nailed what would seem to be the correct answer. Get a person, such as a Chop, in an off-field role that recruits love. Somebody that will pick up the slack when it comes to recruiting. Then once the talent is here Glen will do a great job developing that talent.Sam is as good as anyone’s that done it.
I bet he just retires or goes back to Georgia but we’d be lucky to have him in whatever capacity we could get him to show up to Knoxville.
But again, I’m not calling for Glen to be fired. Can’t let perfect be the enemy of very good.. but we do need to figure out how to fix this problem.
Sham, Larry Johnson, Satterwhite, Lang, Gage, Jesse perry. Some of these guys have snaps under their belt. Granted we don’t know that they are “quality depth” yet, but there is still a whole season to play and an offseason to figure out the best 5 next year.Glen is a really good offensive line coach.

First I acknowledged I liked the freshman class. You listed 3 true freshman who have played no important minutes. Not depth.Sham, Larry Johnson, Satterwhite, Lang, Gage, Jesse perry. Not sure I agree with no depth and I think guys like AP and Hubbs would also disagree although they are not football savants. AP and Hubbs both said there is no college football team in America that have amazing depth on the OL particularly at the OT position. Idk I think it’s a bit harsh to say we have created no depth
