‘23 NV RB Will Stallings

There’s not really a way to say this w/o sounding negative, but that didn’t appear to be the case. Coach Mack held the dummy straight up, the drill was to run pads, then at the dummy and cut off of which way he moved the dummy last minute.
Regardless, the coaching staff sees potential in him, good enough for us! The kid was definitely physically impressive. 220 and probably 5-6%bf!

Maybe everybody else gets what you are trying to say. How does this mean that he avoids contact? I'm afraid to ask because more incomprehensible muddling will not tell me anything.

Who was the last recruit Pruitt brought in that wanted to switch from RB to LB?

Hope this turns out better, if true.

WS isn't even on campus yet. Let this play out and maybe not get ahead of ourselves here but, nevermind, I forgot where I was for a moment, LOL

Cain played an excerpt from a recruiting reporter saying that stallings would play LB. Cain came back on after saying everyone he’s talked to says Stallings will play RB

I do not see him as an every down back, but maybe short yardage and 4 minute drill guy. Heck he could play defense and still take on the fourth and one role. He is about our lowest rated recruit but our staff took him early. I have got to believe he showed them something special. For all I know it might be special teams.

I didn’t go back and read posts, but iirc, some were saying this would mean he initiated contact. Don’t believe anyone ever said he was avoiding contact.
From what I saw of the drill, he was just slow to react to which way he was suppose to cut off the pad.

Elmer Fudd isn’t running the show anymore and this kid is freak athlete that the staff loves at RB. I would like to see us get another back though just to give this staff the option of moving him to LB if necessary, but we need more than just Williams as a short yardage back even if he doesn’t have game breaking speed. Having a guy like this you can feed heavily in the 2nd half of games with a lead when the opposing defense is gassed sure would help our defense a lot

Pruitt just wasn't a good head coach. But he absolutely knew where certain players should be. Alontae Taylor, Bryce Thompson and Jeremy Banks are testaments to that fact.

I don’t know why we jump to saying “this player, etc” should play a different position than he was recruited for. Staff, media outlets, etc all saying this dude is going to be a RB. 6’1 223, runs a 4.6 and is a freak of nature. Also has also ZERO stats that any recruiting website could rank him on since he has less than 100 carries in one year at RB. This guy is about half a step slower than Brian Robinson and Derrick Henry. Plenty fast for RB

Yeah our future looked very bright with Taylor and Thompson at corner their freshman year and he was bringing in a lot of elite talent on defense. He just wasn’t willing to adapt on the offensive side of the ball

I don't see anything in his highlight video that says he can't play RB. He may have potential at LB as well.

He doesn't have great top end speed. But he does have good instincts and vision. He's quicker than you expect him to be... and he is hard to tackle.

Yeah and with our offense being so good at freeing up running lanes for RB's the dude just needs to run forward, run hard and run people over and he'll be effective.
