In 1985 the USFL had five heisman winners. Hershel Walker, Doug Flutie, Mike Rozier, and two time Heisman winner Archie Griffin.

The USFL's problem was two fold.

1. It wanted to move to the fall for '86
2. They sued the NFL

I watched that documentary covering the USFL. It was very interesting to say the least. Those doing the documentary wanted to portray it as Donald Trump wanting to find a way to own an NFL team, if I remember correctly.
