FFS, no one has a perfect situation. But Smart had as incredibly easy of a situation as you can get though. Roster loaded with players from consistent Top 10 recruiting classes, a top 10 recruiting class that was already established before he took over (to his credit, he was able to hold it together, but the heavy-lifting had already been done) and a team coming off a 10 win season. There is literally no comparing the two situations.

Clearly you're an UGA troll as you've done nothing but defend UGA in multiple threads now. Good day.
I never said I wasn’t UGA fan or pretended to be a UT fan. You just want to keep focusing on recruiting rankings for UGA then ignoring them for UT. I’ve said since the beginning that Smart had a better situation, but he also had issues you’re overlooking due to blindly looking at the recruiting rankings. If you’re incapable of having a conversation with someone with an opposing view point, then that’s fine.

First, it was clear Chubb wasn’t the same player the year after his injury. He was better the following year and back to from his rookie year. Next, just because a player was a 4* recruit doesn’t mean they’ll be a success. Players fail to live up to their rankings all the time. Lastly, I’ve said from the beginning that Pruitt stepped into a worse situation. The only thing we apparently don’t agree on is that I said Smart didn’t walk into a perfect situation either. While it was certainly better than Pruitt’s, having a frosh QB, no line depth, Chubb with a blown out knee, and program culture concerns don’t make for a perfect situation.

Good lord son you keep going.

UGA 2 years prior to Kirby: 20-6

UT 2 years prior to Pruitt 13-12

Don't even remotely try to compare the situation. 247-composite had the 2016 UGA squad rated the #6 in the nation with 8 5-star players:

2016 UGA roster loaded with talent

Tennessee, this year, is #16 and that's with 4 5* players, 3 of which Pruitt alone brought in. In fact, Pruitt has brought in 7 of UT's Top 10 rated players. Lyle left little except for snake oil in the cupboard. GTFO.

I never said Smart’s situation was worse than Pruitt’s, so I don’t know what you’re on about. I don’t want to derail the thread any more, so we can agree to disagree or take the conversation elsewhere.

All the information he posts is right.... He is telling us what the recruits are telling our coaches. If they lie or change their mind, that does not mean that AV lied, changed his mind, or was wrong.
I believe that but wanted to hear a few examples. No one is giving me any. I just learned of AV’s reputation here a couple weeks ago so I had not been familiar with any of his prior posts. Same way with OrangeDefense. I just learned how others value his posts in the last couple of weeks.

It’ll go on for the rest of the week lol

100%
We've still got the "I told you so" portion, either way.
The "This proves _____ insider is legitimate/fake", either way.
And 1 of the fanbases claiming "not that good anyway"..
you guessed it, either way.

Didn't give you any???
Oh ffs.

You don't want to be here anymore...
Move along....

FFS why is it everyone else's job to keep you informed on everything? All of the info that's there is in the threads...

They're not even remotely comparable. You were making a comparison. Smart walked into probably one of the best situations a new head coach has walked into over the last 15 years except for maybe Larry Coker and Clay Helton.

He inherited a successful team that was loaded with talent and in a fantastic situation with SEC-East competition at a near 20-year low.
