As for the fake punt, that was against Bama in the SECC, not the playoffs. It was an understandable call. Jalen came in with fresh legs and was slicing through the defense and Smart didn’t think his defense could hold up, so he tried to have the last offensive possession. It didn’t work and Jalen then did exactly what Smart thought he would do and marched down the field. Also, Saban blew a fake punt/fg against Clemson in the natty, so I don’t think missing a fake automatically makes one a bad coach.

Kirby, is that you? The fake punt was a terrible call. You punt and you put Bama deep in their own territory with three minutes left. 90% of the time, the WORST result from the punt would be overtime for the Pups. The botched 4th and 10 fake punt gave Bama GREAT field position. And it was 4th and TEN.

Post game, Kirby threw his player under the bus by blaming the failed fake on execution. I lost some respect for him with his stupid comment. He said his receiver was left uncovered pre snap, but the Pups took too long to snap the ball, giving Bama time to react and cover the receiver. But, replays showed the Bama guy moving over to cover the receiver 5 SECONDS before the snap. So, WHY DIDN'T KIRBY CALL TIME OUT when he saw Bama line up in front of his receiver pre snap. My opinion, and there is no room for a Kirby apologist here, is that Kirby Smart choked!

And I realize it was in the SECC. Winning that game was a prerequisite for the Pups to win a NC.

"The commitment of Darnell Washington was over privately for months. I am skeptical of times with silent commits, but this one stuck. In fact UGA staff felt so good on this one, they did not have a problem with him visiting Tennessee last. That is when I knew this was with done.

Todd Hartley did a very good job with this five-star TE from Las Vegas as the lead recruiter for Georgia.

His coach called me in late August and talked with me about doing a commitment video for Georgia. I also talked with Darnell about his ideas for a video. Few weeks later, he decided to wait until the UA Game to do it on national television. I did a CB a few days after that call.

Others recruited him hard and I am sure it was close at times, but Georgia led the entire season here on him according to people very close to this and people in Las Vegas besides his staff." --- Mansell, 247

That does not sound like a situation where he was 90% done to Tennessee.

The kid never trolled anybody. He has hinted UGA for months but some of y’all suck at taking hints. On top of that, it leaked on ESD and y’all still didn’t find a clue.
