So this headline has value in that it humorously demonstrates Obama is the hypocrite we all know him to be. In the overall scheme of things, this is nothing more than cosmetic. I'm much angrier about the stimulus, etc.

Your right, Bush was by the liberal media and liberals in general. Obama is getting ripped by you, the conservative OP, and other conservative members on this board. Presidents travel and have vacations. The article cited the highest possible price tag being an additional $100,000, chump change.

If you want to b**** about Obama and vacations, the vacation to Spain (renting out a 5* beach area) and the trip to Africa were very questionable and deserved the heat generated by the public.

not sure if serious but on the assumption you are:

the eating peas comments was not about eating healthy - it was about making tough choices, facing reality and tightening our belts. You know, cutting costs?

the man can take a vacation but as they say the "optics" aren't good. he rails about excesses then takes lavish vacations which we partially pay for. He's not unique but it makes the message ring hollow.

No one sane begrudges him a vacation. Only the knee-jerk anti-Obamanites are making an issue of it, like they do every time he takes a vacation.

The people who would vote against him for that already just hate him so much they can't stand it. Not a single person will vote for or against him based on this.
