I still think even "relatively speaking," Obama is far left. Yes, I would characterize this board as being far right. I would not categorize LG anywhere but the left.

Obama's own books reveal that he is far left, from Black Liberation Theology to seeking out radicals and marxists while in college. He only ran a centrist campaign to get elected, and even then, he needed a mass media willing to overlook his leftism.

In all fairness he has cut off ties with Reverand Wright and was not, I repeat, was not in attendance for the
" damn America" sermon.:thumbsup:

What if we abandoned the left/right conundrum and used the up/down analogy introduced by Reagan?

But if we are going to use labels, then would you consider Obambi and Holdup as being racist??

After all attorneys in the Justice department we instructed to not prosecute cases against minorities.

Sounds rather racist to me.

BTW he had campaign staffs that posted pictures of the mass murderer Che Guevara on their walls also.

What does that say about his support groups??

That's a terribly inaccurate oversimplification.

First, I equally condemn the loons on the right and the left. I have, at every turn, criticized Sharpton and Jackson in this forum. I similarly criticize Beck and Hannity.

Now, on this forum, there's been no one defending Sharpton and Jackson. We all loathe them and their incendiary rhetoric and irrational "logic." So there's not much to talk about, really.

Also happens I am the only one with the intellectual honesty to also point out that Beck and Hannity are equally as anti-intellectual. They are bombastic and fear-mongering just like Sharpton and Jackson, just to a different audience. So, there's more to talk about with them and it makes it look like I criticize only them and only because I'm far left. Which I'm not.

The enemy in my view is neither right nor left, Republican nor Democrat. The enemy is shrill speakers who appeal to the most basic knee-jerk reaction in those who don't think but instead just look for people who will agree with their preordained views.
