My mistake, I thought you were calling me out for my earlier post. It's been one of those days :hi:

No worries, broski.

Drones? check
Rendition? check
Patriot Act? check
Surge? check
Military tribunals? check

So how is Obama different than Bush other than vehemently attacking all of the above that he has continued and/or increased?

He's not, and I'm pretty pissed about it.

Anyone who puts faith in anything a politician says or promises, is setting themselves up for heartbreak in time. The President is nothing more than a puppet of the legislative branch of government. Sure, he can veto things, but once you piss off enough of your peers, your screwed. Anyone who votes for this farce of a man in 2012 is either an idiot or has lived under a rock the past 3 years.

romney's a liberal.

I can't stand the guy. I live in Utah and he got 98% of the vote in the primaries. I know it's just cause he's Mormon because virtually everyone in this state loathes Obamacare and Obama basically copied what Romney did in Mass. They don't even know his politics, they are drawn in by his classic looks and assume "he's one of us".

Obama's perspective I am sure changed when he was in possession of all the facts a president is exposed to and not just a little Acorn any longer.

Where's the outrage though? Gitmo was a steady topic during Bush's presidency. Obama reinstatses Gitmo trials and nothing much from the media.

Bush wants Gitmo = very bad
Obama wants Gitmo= no big deal

I never have had a problem with Gitmo. I'm not a fan of what has happened there. The last four years they've been cleaning up the judicial process and actually investigating charges against the "enemy combatants."

I think it all sounded like a great idea until people realized if we close Gitmo we have to bring them to the U.S. But it's not all on Obama, Congress passed a bill in January preventing him from putting them in Federal Prison.

Also, IMO it's not a big issue because of the Budget "Crisis," the Protests, the Economy, etc.
