Obama: Romney Not Very "Qualified To Think About The Economy As A Whole"

I agree, the economy doesn't look too hot right now. I'll give Obama another month or two at the economy, and then draw my definitive conclusions then. I kind of figure I already now what they will be though, as far as the economy is concerned.

I laughed.

Good business sense =/= good economic sense

What is economically expedient is almost never politically expedient, which is why we are screwed no matter who wins.

Are you saying there's not a correlation to having prosperous businesses/commerce and a positive economy?

Just curious - are you saying you will wait 2 more months to see if the current Obama policies change the economy or do you expect that Obama policies will change in some way over the next 2 months?

Put another way, do you agree with Obama's approach to the economy?

I don't know that I necessarily agree with it. It certainly hasn't done anything very promising. I'm just looking to see if he can get some positive job growth at this point. Probably not likely by the end of the year, but I'll give the man his four years at least.

In before another assault upon my intelligence, although I have to admit, I don't know if I could overcome another one: I have very little intelligence to begin with. :)

So you believe Obama impacts the economy, but haven't made up your mind? Very, very rich.

Obama said this yesterday

I think he is starting to lose it. He can't believe his ideas aren't working/not getting any support. He is clearly frustrated and talking more and more off the cuff. Too bad every word is not critiqued by the media as much as someone from the GOP.

A facebook friend posted this the other day - I really don't know what to say about it other than this is what some believe and why they hate all things conservative.

Obama said this yesterday

something else I found interesting in those remarks

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.
Federal obstacles hamper battle on wildfires - Washington Times

The fire didn’t care what kind of federal land it was burning, but for sheriff’s deputies hovering over a blaze in northwestern Nevada last week, it made all the difference: If it was Bureau of Land Management property, they could legally drop the water they were carrying, but if it was Forest Service land, they were out of luck.

Unable to make a clear call, the Washoe County chopper pilot demurred and didn’t drop the 323 gallons of water in the tank.

I'm sure the residents of Nevada are glad everyone is working together
