How can anyone stomach this guy and his philisophies on the role of government.

This continuing nonsense he keeps puking up about McCain and tax "breaks" for the rich drives me nuts. Is it really a "break" to steal less from people. Where do you get these ideas that the money someone makes belongs to the government and you are to feel lucky for every cent the government does not steal from you. Worse yet, don't dare be productive and make a lot of money, you are the plague of civilization if you do this.

Given the waves in the economy of late, who would dare put this fool in charge of running anything?

is socialism not the redistribution of wealth? yes it is, the modern democrats party doesn't want poor and midlde class strive to do better, they punish the rich for being successfull all in the name of the "common good"

But that's not what the basic Democratic stance is(or mine). Like I said, I'm pretty much with the more conservative part of the party, but here's what I understand the basic stance to be, for our more left mainstream.

Democrats are for a free market, with government intervention if a company is found to be doing something illegal. Again, I'm a Blue Dog(look it up), but this is what I understand the basic Dem stance to be.

the problem is that your party has been hijacked by a bunch of leftist. pelosi, reid, obama are just a few that are on the far left. they are not your traditional democrat. the modern democrat is for regulating companies to the point that they can't compete. they want to control every aspect of our society and that is very dangerous.

Funny, these people hate the government when things are good. They enjoy raking in the big profit but as soon as things turn bad they come running to the same government and beg for help. It's total BS, they have no risk. If things go bad for average Joe than it's tuff but big shot Joe gets a bail out when his problems stack up. So as long as you keep talking about the government "stealing" from people just remember who these people go running to when things go bad. It looks like we the people are going to pay for AIG to get back on their feet but heaven forbid they pay more in taxes when things are good on their end.

i disagree about the extreme right hijacking the party, that's inacurate. if anything the republican party has gone to the left. the republican party is much more centered than the left is. just look at the spending and programs we created in the last 8 years.
