Obama to address the Nation. (Osama bin Laden is dead)

The partying in the streets is a bit bothersome. It's like a picture of Baghdad on 9/11.

Who gives a flying eff about what you think about post counts? Send BPV a PM if it bothers you that damn much. The rest of us want to pop a top and celebrate a piece of trash getting his head blown off and becoming worm food.

I did nothing that BPV and others have not already done in this thread. Celebrate away, it's a free country and thread.

In some ways you're right . . . but it's just a cathartic moment at a time when there hasn't been a lot of good news.

You're a little off base here

Im not a democrat by any means but when i see some guy diss Obama on his speech today I just get pissed because it is irrelevant to Osama going down. This is great news for this country and there is no room to question Obama or GW. He is CIC and he makes the overall call. No matter what it happened on his watch and he will get credit. Did I vote for him? No. But we shouldnt rip him for something so damn stupid. /rant

The Pakistani secret police played a large part in this as well. As in, one of our operatives (CIA) finally found someone close enuff to bin Laden (read had accurate information of his recent and upcoming whereabouts) that could finally be bought. We got good info, it was relayed thru intelligence channels back to our Pres. who gave the order to our generals for a strike and it was carried out beautifully by our troops.

Lots of folks had hands in this and credit should go to no 1 person but to the people who work tirelessly day in and day out to make our country great. God Bless America!

Yep. The dudes dead and I'm happy, but I'm not going to celebrate in the streets

We dont have to act like that

We are better than that

I am sure you were very close to the situation. That is why you had time to reach 50,000 posts on volnation and are here rather than at a debriefing.....lame.

BPV is one of if not most credible posters on VN. He speaks from experience.
