not to go obama on you guys, but is there really a need for assualt weapons? outside of them being fun i mean.

it's not a rifle, it's a combat shotgun that fires "smart" rounds that will explode at a preset distance. Great for taking out Jihadis hiding round a corner or behind a dead camel.

Actually if you talked to the majority of military and defense types they'd tell you that a pistol is what you use to fight your way to your rifle. The reason pistols come up so often in "normal" SD conversations is you can actually carry one around.

If I'm at home and I'm given the option as much as I like my Glock it'll be the AP4 with the Eotech holosight I'll be grabbing first.

Oh yeah, and they're fun. :)

It was a joke about the weapon being camouflaged.

Personally I'm in the "rifle for home defense" group, but then again, I trained for CQB with a rifle so it's what I'm used to.

I qualified with a pistol, but I still feel much more comfortable with a rifle.
