the point I'm trying to make - not that I support Obama at all - is that people are outraged at Obama for vacationing - while he has statistically taken less than half of what Bush had taken at a similar time in his presidency and about half of what Reagan had taken.
I know people hate him and the economy sucks - but this is a silly thing to be outraged about.
The point is not that Obama is taking a vacation, the
point is the extravagance the first family displays.
Martha's Vinyard is one of the more pricy places in
America to spend one's free time, this is their second
trip there in two years.
Michelle has a larger well paid staff than any other three
first ladies and has taken all or most of them on very
expensive outings frequently.
The two of them display no commonality with the middle
class in this country at all in that respect.
Eisenhower was widely and soundly criticized by the
Democrats for golfing about once a month, Obama OTOH
spends more that thirtay days a year on the golf course.
He meant to play on Tirger Woods popularity until
Tiger screwed the pooch.
Forinstance the day of the bin -Laden raid Barry was
on the 16th tee before he even knew about it, finished
his round and didn't even have time to change out of
his golf togs before watching the live feed in the War
Room.
Now he is going to make a movie of the event in some
lame attempt to portray himself as a great hero.
The dude isn't worth a pan full of douche water.
