Obama White House seizes control of Census Bureau

I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying that the "sky is falling" redistricting agenda may not even happen.

It's interesting that given the backlash of Bush's executive power grab - the current admin seems to be walking down the same road. The creation of the numerous "czars" dilutes the power of the various cabinets. The National Security thingy is usurping power from various agencies and now they're pulling in the census under the WH CoS. Hmmmm

that's different. Bush was an evil oil man. Barack is the Chosen One, the Messiah. Under his leadership, socialism will work and the United States will become the workers' paradise envisioned by Marx.

I guess I fail to see how I'm whistling past the graveyard. The issue here for most people isn't the fact that he is throwing a bone to a few minority groups by attempting to bypass the person in charge of appropriations to the Bureau. The big fear is the redistricting, which I agree is a major issue if the counting isn't accurate. I just can't bring myself to care if he wants to appropriate more funds to reach "hard-to-find minorities" in the 2010 census by jumping over Gregg. I also can't make any real major decisions on the matter until Gregg is appointed and more information comes out because the whole thing is too hazy to know which way is up at the moment.
