The incremental attack on our economy. This has been happening for years, Bush took a huge step with it, Obama has taken the ball and run up the score. We are simply spending ourselves into oblivion. Obama is spending like a a teenager who just opened his first credit card account.
How right you are. (except you join others in labling the brave men pursueing this matter with the term 'birthers' which is meant to be derisive in order to ridicule them while side stepping the constitutional point of order.)
From the article I quoted above which covers the issue better than any I've found and goes into each point in great detail:
The irresponsible confirmation in the Senate of the irresponsible tallying of votes in the Electoral College does not supersede the clear meaning of Article II, Section 1.
If it is allowed to stand, disregard of the Constitution by all branches of the government would be openly established.
To all who believe that the Constitution is the governments basic law, that the Constitution is the only instrument that gives the enactments of Congress and the commands of the Executive validity, it will be clear that the rule of law in the United States is a fiction.
Journalists and politicians complain that we must avoid a Constitutional crisis, but there already is a Constitutional crisis. It has been caused by Obamas refusal to take the simple step to clear the matter up.
The power of the Executive branch has been compromised. Its right to collect taxes and sign Congressional enactments into law, in fact all of its powers, have become problematic. Since their validity under Section I is now doubtful, they depend on the illegal exercise of force.
Many of Roosevelt's policies were later turned over by the courts as being unconstitutional, even though he tried to stack the SCOTUS in his favor.
If we are not going to uphold the constitution elected officials are sworn to uphold, then their oaths are all lies and not one thing stands between the American people and the complete tyrrany of an all powerful socialist state.
You can call that fascism or call it communism, either way there isn't that much difference.
ps; yes I read it 666, you and several others would do well to do a bit more reading instead of acting like whiney bedwetters.
