this is a 20 second clip from a broader speech about other things. Still, it's somewhat chilling when a candidate claims that the US military isn't enough and that a well funded and equipped civilian force must be created.

MG, I get the idea of this but I haven't heard anything about it. I should have been more specific but mainly I was curious as to what the purpose would be. Are they to supplement the police or is it more like the National Guard? I think its a bad idea too, I just haven't heard anything about it.

If he really wants to do what is implied by the soundbite, then it is an absolutely stupid idea. I am sure there is more to it, but I don't have enough info at the moment to comment much further.

I dont understand why the heck we would need a civilian guard or whatever he called it. Thats what the National Guard is, hell thats what the entire army is. I know Army members arent technically your everyday citizens but at one point they were and they want the same things as we do
