Obama's chances of winning D/N just reduced.

This is kind of what I am thinking. It seems like there is a part of the democratic base that was supporting Edwards that would better align with Clinton - but I don't really have any data like you present to back the up...just more of a feeling.

I hate to believe it, but I think it might in part be white people (mostly older and less educated) and Hispanics (again, mostly older and less educated) who won't vote for a black person. His #s with both of those groups are very low.

Well...there could be some of that - but many of those would probably not want to vote for a woman either.

I was thinking more of the group concerned with the poor and his universal health care coverage crowd. Hillary is closer to Edwards on these issues than Obama, I think.

Well, it certainly will be interesting to see where we are as a nation on this.

I actually think they're probably very close on the issues, and both will be more "for" everything the closer we get to November.

Peter Vescey in his NBA Column in the New York Post after the Celtics throttled the Knicks a few weeks back, with a gigantic edge in rebounds

"Nothing from Massachusetts has been as good on the the glass since the last time Ted Kennedy hit up the open bar at a wedding"

Another fun one, President Bush bought his wife a Scottish Terrier for Christmas, Senator Kennedy showed up at the party because he thought he heard "Scotch".

I despise the modern Kennedys, nearly as much as the Clinton Crime Family. Obama, i don't dislike, though don't agree with much at all, and i consider him a William Jennings Bryan type.

The rumor going around now, is that Obama chooses Edwards as Attorney General, then you bring in alot of big time union support. Support that Hillary has now for the most part.
